Honda Small Hybrid Sports Concept is a Hybrid vehicle, hybrid concept car developed by Honda. The premiere of the concept car took place at the Geneva Motor Show in 2007. The car was designed by the European branch of Honda, based in Offenbach am Main, to combine the idea of a sports car, efficient and ecological. The car has a front-wheel drive powered by a 4-cylinder petrol-electric engine with a Continuously variable transmission, CVT transmission. A hybrid vehicle is one that uses two or more distinct types of power, such as submarines that use diesel when surfaced and batteries when submerged. Other means to store energy include pressurized fluid in hydraulic hybrids. The basic principle with hybrid vehicles is that the different motors work better at different speeds; the electric motor is more efficient at producing torque, or turning power, and the combustion engine is better for maintaining high speed than a typical electric motor. The Geneva International Motor Show is an annual auto show held in March in the Swiss city of Geneva. The show is hosted at the Palexpo, a convention centre located next to the Geneva Cointrin International Airport.
