Honda Australia
Honda Australia Pty Ltd, commonly known as Honda Australia, is an Australian wholly owned subsidiary of Honda based in Moonee Ponds, Victoria, Australia. The Honda brand arrived in Australia in the mid 1950s, when independent firms imported Honda motorcycles. By the 1960s, motorcycles were joined by Honda vehicles, notably the tiny Honda S600 sports car and Honda N360 and later the Accord and Civic. In the late 1960s, Honda decided on a national approach to motor vehicle sales. On 4 February 1969, Japanese Manager Hidehiko Shiomi set up Honda Australia. It was the first Honda subsidiary in the world set up primarily to sell cars. By 1987, all of the private distributors of Honda motorcycles and power equipment had relinquished distribution rights and Honda Australia became sole importer of all Honda products. Mount Panorama Circuit
Mount Panorama Circuit is a motor racing track located in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. It is situated on Mount Panorama (Wahluu) and is best known as the home of the Bathurst 1000 motor race held each October, and the Bathurst 12 Hour event held each February. The track is a long street circuit, which is used as a public road when no racing events are being run, with many residences which can only be accessed from the circuit. The track has an unusual design by modern standards, with a vertical difference between its highest and lowest points, and grades as steep as 1:6.13. Honda Prelude
The Honda Prelude is a car produced by Japanese car manufacturer Honda from 1978 until 2001. The two-door coupe was loosely derived from the Honda Accord, and spanned five generations. The Prelude was used by Honda to introduce the Japanese Honda retail sales chain ''Honda Verno,'' with the international release of the model following shortly after. Production of the Prelude concluded in 2001 upon the introduction of the fourth-generation Integra. The Prelude name was originally trademarked by Toyota, but was amicably given to Honda for use. Honda NSX
The Honda NSX, marketed in North America as the Acura NSX, is a two-seat, mid-engined coupe sports car manufactured by Honda. The origins of the NSX trace back to 1984, with the HP-X (Honda Pininfarina eXperimental) concept, which was a mid-engine 3.0 L V6 engine rear wheel drive sports car. Honda committed to the project, with the intention of meeting or exceeding the performance of the then V8 engine Ferrari range, while offering reliability and a lower price point. The concept thus evolved and had its name changed to NS-X, which stood for "New", "Sportscar" "eXperimental", although the production model was launched as the NSX. Honda UK Manufacturing
Honda of the UK Manufacturing Ltd (informally HUM) was a British automotive manufacturing company, and the United Kingdom-based manufacturing subsidiary of the multinational automotive company Honda. Based in Swindon, England, HUKM operated manufacturing plants that included casting, engine assembly, pressing, welding, painting, and car assembly activities. At the time of its closure, it employed around 3,400 people at the plants, which occupied a site covering around 370 acres. Honda has made a total investment of over £1.5 billion in the Swindon plants. In 2008, HUKM produced 230,423 cars. By 2016 annual unit production was down to 134,146 units, although this still represented an increase of 12.3% over the figure for 2015. In early 2019, it was announced the entire manufacturing plant in Swindon would close, which was later confirmed by Honda. The is a series of high-performance hatchback/ sedan models based on the Civic, developed and produced by Honda since September 1997. The first Civic Type R was the third model to receive Honda's Type R badge (after the NSX and Integra). Honda City
The is a subcompact car which has been produced by the Japanese manufacturer Honda since 1981. The City was originally a 3-door hatchback/2-door convertible for the Japanese, European and Australasian markets. The 3-door City was retired in 1994 after the second-generation and replaced by the Logo.
