Bedřich Homola
Army General Bedřich Homola (2 June 1887, Běleč – 5 January 1943, Berlin, Plötzensee Prison) was a Czechoslovak soldier, general, legionnaire who fought for the Allies during the First World War, and the Head Commander of the anti-Nazi resistance organization Obrana národa ("Defense of the Nation") during the Nazi occupation of Bohemia and Moravia. He used the code name ''Ataman''. Youth He was born on 2 June 1887, in Běleč, today a part of Liteň, to Václav and Marie Homola, who were peasants. After completing elementary school in Lithuania in 1899 he attended secondary school in Hostomice, transferring in 1901 to a German-language school in Bílina. From 1903 to 1907 he attended the College of Civil Engineering in Prague. In 1907–08 he was employed by the Prague architect Zuslicht. Craig Homola
Craig A. Homola is an American retired ice hockey center who was an All-American for Vermont. Career In his sophomore year in high school, Homola was one of three centers on the Eveleth-Gilbert High School team who would go on to be stars in college hockey, the others being Dave Delich and Mark Pavelich. Homola graduated in 1977 and began attending the University of Vermont that fall. After a good freshman season, he took over as the leader on offense, pacing the Catamounts with 55 points as a sophomore. As a junior Homola gained wide recognition for his scoring prowess and he was invited to join the US national team a month before the 1980 Winter Olympics but he turned down the offer and watched as his former teammate Pavelich went on to win a gold medal. Jiří Homola
Jiří Homola (born 2 June 1980) is a Czech former professional footballer. Club career Homola played in his youth for Sokol Přerov nad Labem, SK Český Brod, Spartak Čelákovice, Slavia Prague and once more Spartak Čelákovice. In Čelákovice he joined the professional team during the 1998–99 season. After only one year the defender was acquired by Gambrinus Liga club FK Jablonec 97, where he played until the end of 2002 and appeared in 61 league matches scoring six goals. In January 2003, Homola was acquired by Sparta Prague. At first he played regularly, although he made only seven league appearances in the 2004–05 season. Wohnout is a Czech alternative rock band formed in Prague in 1988. The group comprises guitarists/vocalists Matěj Homola and Jan Homola, bassist Jiří Zeman and drummer Zdeněk Steiner. Wohnout is among the most popular bands in the Czech Republic and released nine studio albums since formation. History Wohnout was formed in Prague in 1988, one year prior to the Velvet Revolution. The lineup consisted of brothers Matěj Homola and Jan Homola, both on guitars and vocals, along with a bassist and a drummer. In 1990, however, Wohnout disbanded. Maťo Homola (born 19 July 1994, in Bratislava) is a Slovak racing driver. He is currently driving in TCR Europe in Target Competition with Hyundai i30 N TCR. Maťo became also a brand new Hyundai N ambassador for Slovakia in 2019. After having successfully finished on 5th position in 2016 in TCR International Series with B3 Racing Team Hungary, Mato Homola has switched to DG Sport Competition and Opel Astra OPC TCR.
