Homeshake
Homeshake (stylized as HOMESHAKE) is the solo musical project of Montreal-based singer-songwriter and musician Peter Sagar. Featuring contributions from Mark Goetz, Greg Napier, and Brad Loughead, the project started in 2012. In 2014, he left Mac DeMarco's live band to focus on the Homeshake project; Fixture Records released his debut cassette, ''The Homeshake Tape'', in January 2013 with a second, titled ''Dynamic Meditation'' released in October 2013. This was followed by his debut full-length album, ''In the Shower'' (2014) and his second album, ''Midnight Snack'' (2015). His third album under the project, ''Fresh Air'' was released in 2017. His fourth album, ''Helium '' was released in 2019. Fresh Air (Homeshake Album)
''Fresh Air'' is the third studio album by Canadian recording project Homeshake. It was released on February 3, 2017 through Royal Mountain Records in Canada and Sinderlyn record label in the United States. The first track off the album, "Call Me Up", was premiered on November 1, 2016. Musically, the album expands on the electronic R&B sound of the previous record ''Midnight Snack'' (2015) and incorporates yacht rock influences for a "thrift store synth-pop sound." Critical reception The album generally received positive reviews from music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album has received an average score of 76, based on 4 reviews, indicating "generally favorable reviews". ''Midnight Snack'' is the second studio album by Canadian recording project Homeshake. It was released on September 18, 2015 through Captured Tracks-affiliated record label, Sinderlyn. Described as an indie pop and electro- R&B record, ''Midnight Snack'' emphasizes the R&B influence evident on previous recordings, adding drum machines and synthesizers along with the live drums and guitars. Walter TV is a Canadian indie rock band, consisting of Pierce McGarry (vocals, guitar), Joe McMurray (drums) and Simon Ankenman (bass).
