In Australia, homeschooling is becoming increasingly popular. It is legal in all States and territories of Australia, Australian states and territories, with each having its own regulations around the practice. Distance education (commonly known as ''external studies'' in Australia) is also prevalent for Australians who live in remote, rural areas.
