Homer Brightman
Homer Brightman (October 1, 1901 – January 30, 1988) was an American screenwriter who worked for Walt Disney Productions, Walter Lantz Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer cartoon studio, UPA, Larry Harmon Pictures, Cambria Productions and DePatie-Freleng Enterprises. Brightman was also the original gag writer for Al Taliaferro Charles Alfred "Al" Taliaferro ( ; August 29, 1905 – February 3, 1969), was an American Disney comics artist who produced Disney comic strips for King Features Syndicate. ''Make Mine Music'' is a 1946 American animated musical anthology film produced by Walt Disney and released by RKO Radio Pictures. It is the eighth Disney feature animated film, released on April 20, 1946. During World War II, much of Walt Disney's staff was drafted into the army, and those that remained were called upon by the U.S. government to make training and propaganda films. As a result, the studio was littered with unfinished story ideas. In order to keep the feature film division alive during this difficult time, the studio released six package films including this one, made up of various unrelated segments set to music. ''Hypnotic Hick '' is the 51st animated cartoon short subject in the ''Woody Woodpecker'' series. Released theatrically on September 26, 1953, the film was produced by Walter Lantz Productions and distributed by Universal International. It was Universal Pictures' first animated project released in 3D. Plot While happily roller skating, Woody ( Grace Stafford) gets bullied by an angry Buzz Buzzard (Dal McKennon) who has just avoided being served a summons. Thinking the woodpecker might want to seek mild revenge on Buzz, law officer I. Gypem (also McKennon) tells Woody he will pay him a dollar to serve Buzz with the summons. Woody happily accepts the offer from Gypem, but Buzz manages to stop all attempts at delivering the summons. Maw And Paw (1953 Film)
Maw and Paw are Walter Lantz characters, who made their first appearance in the cartoon "Maw and Paw", in 1953. Their final appearance was in 1968, in "Feudin Fightin-N-Fussin". They are based on the Universal's popular live-action ''Ma and Pa Kettle'' film series. Overview Maw and Paw are a couple who live with their children and dog in a rural part of the US. Their pet pig Milford appears to be the most educated and therefore the brightest in the family. A well-known running gag in the cartoons involves Paw stepping on a loose lumber of their house, causing his nose to get stuck in the hole of that wood as it flips. His eldest son would try to help him by punching his nose. Paw is naïve and occasionally absent-minded. This naïveté sometimes results in him getting knocked out by his wife. Woody Woodpecker is an animated character that appeared in theatrical short films produced by the Walter Lantz Productions, Walter Lantz Studio and distributed by Universal Pictures, Universal Studios between 1940 and 1972. Woody, an anthropomorphic woodpecker, was created in 1940 by Walter Lantz, Lantz and storyboard artist Ben Hardaway, Ben "Bugs" Hardaway, who had previously laid the groundwork for two other screwball characters, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, at the Warner Bros. Cartoons, Warner Bros. cartoon studio in the late 1930s.
