Homegrown (Neil Young Album)
''Homegrown'' is the 40th studio album by Canadian-American Neil Young. It was released on June 19, 2020, by Reprise Records. The album consists of material recorded between June 1974 and January 1975. The album was recorded after the release of '' On the Beach'' and before the sessions for '' Zuma''. Like those two albums, much of the material was inspired by Young's relationship with actress Carrie Snodgress, which was deteriorating in 1974. The album was compiled and prepared for release in 1975. Instead, '' Tonight's the Night'' was released in its place, and ''Homegrown'' remained unreleased for decades. It was finally set for release as part of Record Store Day 2020, amid Neil Young's ongoing Archives campaign. Its release was again delayed by Record Store Day's postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic, before finally seeing release on June 19. Sessions In mid-June 1974, Young recorded several acoustic performances of new material at his home studio at the Broken Arrow R ...

Songs For Judy
''Songs for Judy'' is a live album by Canadian / American musician Neil Young, released on November 30, 2018 on Shakey Pictures Records. It is Volume 07 in the Performance Series of Neil Young Archives. The album features recordings from Young's solo acoustic sets during the November 1976 United States tour with Crazy Horse. In spring 1970, Young toured with Crazy Horse. He opened the shows with a solo acoustic set before bringing out Crazy Horse for a set of electric material. '' Live At The Fillmore East'' documents that tour. In the fall 1976 tour that ''Songs For Judy'' documents, he did the same. During his acoustic sets, Young played different songs each night rather than the same songs at every show. As a result he played a total of 22 acoustic songs throughout the course of the tour, each of which appears on ''Songs For Judy''. In addition, whereas ''Live at the Fillmore East'' documents only electric performances and omits acoustic material, ''Songs For Judy'' does ...

Ragged Glory
''Ragged Glory'' is the 18th studio album by Canadian / American singer-songwriter Neil Young, and his sixth album with the band Crazy Horse. It was released by Reprise Records on September 9, 1990. Recording The ''Ragged Glory'' sessions took place in April 1990 at Young's Broken Arrow Ranch. The band played a set of songs twice a day for a couple of weeks (never repeating the same songs in a set), then went back, listened and chose the best takes. According to Young, this approach "took 'analysis' out of the game during the sessions, allowing the Horse to not think". Music and lyrics The album revisits the heavy rock style previously explored on ''Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere'' and '' Zuma''. The first two tracks, "Country Home" and "White Line" are songs Young and Crazy Horse originally wrote and performed live in the 1970s (the original recording of "White Line", made for an aborted '' Homegrown'' album, would finally see release in 2020). "Farmer John" is a cover of a ...
