''Home School Valedictorian'' is the second album by Las Vegas, Nevada hard rock band Adelitas Way, released on June 7, 2011. ''Home School Valedictorian'' has sold over 120,000 copies in the US and over 500,000 singles, becoming the band's best-selling album to date. History Adelitas Way entered the studio in September 2010 with writer/producer Dave Bassett and Tadpole in Malibu, California to record the band's follow up to their self-titled debut on Virgin Records. The song "I Wanna Be" features guest vocals by Tyler Connolly, the vocalist/guitarist for the Canadian rock band Theory of a Deadman. Release and promotion On January 31, the band announced that their new album ''Home School Valedictorian'' would be released on May 17. Adelitas Way is an independent American band formed in Las Vegas in 2006. The band's debut single "Invincible (Adelitas Way song), Invincible", broke them into the mainstream scene after the song made numerous television appearances in commercials and live sporting events. Malibu ( ; es, Malibú; Chumash: ) is a beach city in the Santa Monica Mountains region of Los Angeles County, California, situated about west of Downtown Los Angeles. The ''Billboard'' 200 is a record chart ranking the 200 most popular music albums and EPs in the United States. It is published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine and is frequently used to convey the popularity of an artist or groups of artists. Often, a recording act will be remembered by its " number ones", those of their albums that outperformed all others during at least one week. The chart grew from a weekly top 10 list in 1956 to become a top 200 list in May 1967, and acquired its current name in March 1992. Martin Harold "Marti" Frederiksen (born July 1, 1962) is an American songwriter, record producer, and musician. He writes and produces music primarily in rock, country, and pop. He is best known for his work with many artists and bands including the Struts, Aerosmith, Gavin Rossdale, Carrie Underwood, Buckcherry, Daughtry, Ozzy Osbourne, Mötley Crüe, and Faith Hill. Rick Anthony DeJesus (born September 20, 1983) is an American singer and songwriter, best known for being the founder and lead vocalist of the hard rock bands Adelitas Way and Sun Never Sets. Musical career In 2005, he was the singer for a band called DeJesus, which consisted of DeJesus on vocals, Chris Swabb and Randy Brown on lead and rhythm guitar, bassist Jason Schulze, and drummer Matt Gerbrbracht. This band headlined a concert at the House of Blues in Las Vegas with other local bands on December 8, 2005. In 2006, the band DeJesus broke up and Rick DeJesus and some of friends from the band went on a detour to San Diego and decided to drive in a van to Tijuana, Mexico. DeJesus fell asleep and the van was pulled over by corrupt Mexican police officers who robbed them of their belongings. DeJesus managed to store some money in his sock. The iTunes Store is a digital media store operated by Apple Inc. It opened on April 28, 2003, as a result of Steve Jobs' push to open a digital marketplace for music. As of April 2020, iTunes offered 60 million songs, 2.2 million apps, 25,000 TV shows, and 65,000 films.
