Holograf
Holograf is a modern rock band from Romania. Since the band's formation in 1978, Holograf released 18 albums. The band won the Excellence Prize at Romanian Media Music Awards in 2013, the awards for best pop-rock artist and best pop-rock song at Radio Romania Music Awards Gala in 2014 and was nominated multiple times at Romanian Music Awards for Best Group and for Best Song. History It was founded in 1978 by Mihai Pocorschi (guitar, voice), Eugen Sonia (bass guitar), Cristian Lesciuc (solo guitar) and Boris Petroff (drums). In 1979 Edi Petroșel (drums) și Tino Furtună (keyboards) joined and are still part of the band. The band received awards at Club A Festival and at other festivals, which helped the band getting signed with Electrecord, the biggest Romanian label at that time, and launched Holograf 1 in 1983. Dan Bittman
Dan Bittman (; born 29 March 1962, Bucharest) is a Romanian singer who represented the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 1994 and came 21st with 14 points. Dan Bittman has been the lead singer of the music group, Holograf, since 1985. From November 2004 to 2012, he was the host of ''Dănutz SRL'', a TV show on TVR 1. Between 1984 and 1985, he was the lead singer for hard rock band IRIS. Golden Stag Festival
The Golden Stag Festival ( ro, Cerbul de Aur) is the most popular Romanian song contest and awards, held annually in the town of Braşov, Romania. History The Golden Stag was first held in 1968, but after 1971 it was banned by the Communist leadership. After the fall of Communism, new editions were organised starting from 1992. Between 2010 and 2017 the festival wasn't held due to lack of funds. It returned in 2018. Eurovision Song Contest 1994
The Eurovision Song Contest 1994 was the 39th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Dublin, Ireland, following the country's victory at the with the song "In Your Eyes" by Niamh Kavanagh. It was the first time that any country had hosted the contest two years in a row. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster (RTÉ), the contest was held at the Point Theatre on 30 April 1994. It was presented by Irish television and radio presenters Cynthia Ní Mhurchú and Gerry Ryan. This remains the last time that the contest has not been held in the month of May. The MTV Romania Music Awards ( ro, Premiile Muzicale MTV România) have been held since 2002 celebrating Romanian music. Callatis Festival
Callatis Festival is the largest music and culture festival held in Romania. Location The festival is held on a barge that is docked at Mangalia Marina. The barge consists of a huge stage and a very large backstage area, enough to hold over 200 people. The spectators sit on stairs across the harbor, about away from the stage. History The Callatis Festival began in 1999 and has expanded ever since. Dates The Callatis Festival is held every summer between 8 and 15 August.
