''Holodance'' is a collaborative multiplayer virtual reality rhythm video game developed and published bNarayana gamesfor Microsoft Windows. The standard version of the game features 12 songs people can dance to. The game has been available as an Early access title on Steam since April 5, 2016. Gameplay Players interact with the rhythm of a song using their hands, which are tracked using motion controllers. Catching Orbs A mechanism used for percussion instruments, Catching Orbs puts attention on the timing of catching an orb. For each note of the instrument track currently played, one orb flies towards the player from a greater distance and arrives in hands' reach in front of the player at the exact moment that the note starts playing in the song. This location is marked by the outline of a sphere that glows up and down so that players know when they have to catch the note with their hand, and where. VIVE, sometimes referred to as HTC Vive, is a virtual reality brand of HTC Corporation. It consists of hardware like its titular virtual reality headsets and accessories, virtual reality software and services, and initiatives that promote applications of virtual reality in sectors like business and arts. The brand's first virtual reality headset, simply called HTC Vive, was introduced as part of a collaboration with Valve Corporation, implementing its SteamVR hardware and software ecosystem. It was unveiled during HTC's Mobile World Congress keynote in March 2015. An indie game, short for independent video game, is a video game typically created by individuals or smaller development teams without the financial and technical support of a large game publisher, in contrast to most "AAA" (triple-A) games. However, the "indie" term may apply to other scenarios where the development of the game has some measure of independence from a publisher even if a publisher helps fund and distribute a game, such as creative freedom. Because of their independence and freedom to develop, indie games often focus on innovation, experimental gameplay, and taking risks not usually afforded in AAA games, and may explore the medium to produce unique experiences in art games. UVR Media, LLC (formerly UploadVR, Inc. and Upload, Inc.) is an American media company that operates ''UploadVR'', a virtual reality-focused trade publication website. The company was founded as UploadVR in 2014 by Taylor Freeman, Will Mason, and Nick Ochoa as a coworking company based in San Francisco. It later expanded to organize events, provide business incubation, and operate the ''UploadVR'' website. After rebranding to Upload and relocating to Marina del Rey in 2017, the company was sued over alleged gender discrimination, sexual harassment, and wrongful termination. The lawsuit was settled in September 2017 and Upload subsequently hired chief operating officer Anne Ahola Ward, who instituted mandatory anti-harassment training before leaving the company in October that year. In video games, a combo (short for combination) is a set of actions performed in sequence, usually with strict timing limitations, that yield a significant benefit or advantage. The term originates from fighting games where it is based upon the concept of a striking combination. It has been since applied more generally to a wide variety of genres, such as puzzle games, shoot 'em ups, and sports games. Combos are commonly used as an essential gameplay element, but can also serve as a high score or attack power modifier, or simply as a way to exhibit a flamboyant playing style. In fighting games, combo specifically indicates a timed sequence of moves which produce a cohesive series of hits, each of which leaves the opponent unable or almost unable to block or otherwise avoid the following hits in the sequence.
