Bradley Thomas Holman (born February 9, 1968) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. Playing career Holman was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 35th round of the 1990 Major League Baseball Draft out of Auburn University Montgomery. He played 17 games for Low-A Eugene in , but was released on March 29, . On April 7, he signed with the Seattle Mariners and was assigned to High-A Peninsula. In 47 games, he had a 6-6 record and a 3.22 ERA. After beginning with Peninsula, he was promoted to Double-A Jacksonville. In , he made his major league debut after starting the season with the Triple-A Cannons. Edward Holman
Edward Joseph Frederick Holman (9 August 1904 – 26 July 1951) was an Australian politician. He was the son of John Holman (politician), John Holman and Katherine Mary (née Rowe) and the brother of May Holman, the first female Australian Labor Party (Western Australian Branch), Labor MP in Australia. He succeeded his sister as the Labor member for Electoral district of Forrest, Forrest in the Western Australian Legislative Assembly, serving from 1939 to 1947. Holman stood unsuccessfully for the Australian Senate, Senate at the 1934 Australian federal election, 1934 federal election. He was also an unsuccessful candidate for the seat of Electoral district of North Perth, North Perth at the 1936 Western Australian state election, 1936 and 1939 Western Australian state election, 1939 state elections. Eddie Holman (born June 3, 1946) is an American singer, minister, and recording artist, best known for his 1970 hit song "Hey There Lonely Girl". His specialties range from Rhythm and blues, R&B and Pop music, pop to gospel music, Gospel. Early life Holman was born in Norfolk, Virginia on June 3, 1946 but raised in New York City. His mother, noticing that he loved to sing even as early as the age of 2, introduced him to the piano and the guitar, where he quickly revealed a natural aptitude. His abilities, however, were confined mostly to Church service, church and family gatherings. At age 10, Holman stepped onto the stage on Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater and showed his smooth tenor voice. His victory at the Apollo began to open many other doors, and soon he was performing at theaters on Broadway theatre, Broadway and even at Carnegie Hall. Dorothy Holman
Edith Dorothy Holman (18 July 1883 – 15 June 1968) was a British tennis player and three time ILTF world champion twice in singles winning the World Covered Court Championships in 1919, and the World Hard Court Championships in 1920 and once in doubles the same year. In addition she was a double silver medalist at the 1920 Summer Olympics (singles and doubles). Career Holman was born in Kilburn, London. In 1920 she won the silver medal in the singles event as well as in the doubles competition with her partner Geraldine Beamish. She also competed in the mixed doubles event with Gordon Lowe but they were eliminated in the first round. Diana Holman-Hunt (25 October 1913 – 10 August 1993) was an English memoir writer and art critic. Derk Holman (August 14, 1916, in Buitenpost – February 27, 1982, in Groningen) was a Dutch sculptor and ceramist. Life and work Holman was the son of an architect. He received his training at the Minerva Academy in Groningen from 1934 to 1937. During his training he was primarily engaged in sculpture and painting, and later experimented with pottery. Holman lived and worked in Grootegast, and sold most of his products himself traveling on his ship through the Netherlands. Holman made a number of sculptures and wall sculptures of resin stone, that were placed in the public space. Holman often made use of earthy tones and knew his work to provide smooth surfaces with crystal glaze. Derek Holman, (16 May 1931 – 20 May 2019) was a choral conductor, organist and composer. Life and work Born at Illogan, Cornwall, UK, Holman attended the Royal Academy of Music from 1948 to 1952 and studied with Sir William McKie, Eric Thiman and York Bowen. He held the degree of Doctor of Music from the University of London and was a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music, the Royal School of Church Music and the Royal College of Organists. He was an instructor in the Royal Army Educational Corps with the British Army of the Rhine from 1952 to 1954, master at Westminster Abbey Choir School from 1954 to 1956, assistant organist at St Paul's Cathedral from 1956 to 1958, then an organist at Croydon Parish Church from 1958 to 1965. Cliff Holman (born James Clifton Holman, Jr. June 29, 1929 in Mobile, Alabama; died September 8, 2008 in Albertville, Alabama), best known as "Cousin Cliff," was a well-known television personality in the Birmingham, Alabama market. As Cousin Cliff, he hosted a variety of children's shows, with the longest-running version shown daily on WABT, later WAPI. Claude Holman (January 31, 1904 – June 1, 1973) was an American lawyer and politician. Holman was born in Topeka, Kansas. He went to Crane Junior College and Loyola University Chicago. Holman received his law degree from John Marshall Law School in 1934. He was admitted to the Illinois bar and practiced law in Chicago, Illinois. He served as a secretary for United States Representative Arthur Mitchell for two years. Holman was involved with the Democratic Party.
