Holly Bend, also known as Hollywood, is a historic plantation house located near Huntersville, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built between 1795 and 1800, and is a two-story, five bay by two bay, frame dwelling with Federal style design elements. It has gable roof, brick exterior end chimneys, and a one-story, full-width, hip roof porch. Huntersville is a large suburban town in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, United States. A part of the Charlotte metropolitan area, the population was 61,376 at the 2020 census, making Huntersville the 15th largest municipality in North Carolina. It is located north of Charlotte. Etymology Originally named Craighead, the town was renamed to honor Robert Boston Hunter, a local cotton farmer and land owner.
