Hollis (singer)
Hollis Wong-Wear, known mononymously as Hollis, is an American singer-songwriter and creative producer. She is best known for featuring on "White Walls", a song by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, which also featured Schoolboy Q. Hollis is also a spoken-word artist. Her major debut was on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' debut album, ''The Heist (album), The Heist''. This was followed by the single "White Walls" in which she did the vocals for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. This song peaked at number 15 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart. Hollis was nominated for the 2014 Grammy Awards for songwriting and vocals on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis's album, ''The Heist''. Wong-Wear is the lead singer for Seattle-based R&B trio The Flavr Blue. Alongside her work with the band, Wong-Wear releases music under her first name. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. This tracking period also applies to compiling online streaming data. He is credited as a co-inventor of the Midi Fighter 64, a custom musical software controller. He resides in Los Angeles. Biography Shawn Wasabi was born in Salinas, California. He was born to Filipino parents, with his father from Manila, and his mother from Cebu. At a young age, he learned piano. In 2013, Shawn Wasabi started producing music after his friend left the Midi Fighter 3D at his house. Since then, he has uploaded his live mashups, which have all garnered millions of views on YouTube. In 2015, he released "Marble Soda", using a Midi Fighter 64. The Canadian Hot 100 is a music industry record chart in Canada for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. The Canadian Hot 100 was launched on the issue dated March 31, 2007, and is currently the standard record chart in Canada; a new chart is compiled and officially released to the public by ''Billboard'' on Tuesdays but post-dated to the following Saturday.
