Ernest Hollings
Ernest Frederick "Fritz" Hollings (January 1, 1922April 6, 2019) was an American politician who served as a United States senator from South Carolina from 1966 to 2005. A conservative Democrat, he was also the 106th governor of South Carolina, the 77th lieutenant governor of South Carolina, and a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives. He served alongside Democrat turned Republican Senator Strom Thurmond for 36 years, making them the longest-serving Senate duo in history. At the time of his death, he was the oldest living former U.S. senator. Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Hollings graduated from The Citadel in 1942 and joined a law practice in Charleston after attending the University of South Carolina School of Law. During World War II, he served as an artillery officer in campaigns in North Africa and Europe. Tony Terrell Hollings (born December 1, 1981 in Macon, Georgia) is a former American football running back. He was originally selected in the second round of the 2003 NFL Supplemental Draft out of Georgia Tech by the Houston Texans. NFL 2003-2007 Because of a knee surgery when he was at Georgia Tech, Hollings went nearly a year between games, but he regained durability throughout his 2003 rookie season with the Houston Texans and showed promise. On September 21 against the Kansas City Chiefs, in his first non-special teams action, he rushed for 41 yards on 7 carries. He spent 2003-2005 with the Texans. He made his only career start in a game late in the 2003 season. Ex-coach Dom Capers said Hollings gave the team “some speed and burst.” He played 2007 season with the New York Jets. Chloé Hollings is a French-born Australian voice actress. She is internationally best known for voicing the character Widowmaker in the video game ''Overwatch'' (2016) in both English and French. Early life Chloé Hollings was born on April 15 in Paris to a French father and an English-Australian mother. As a child, her family moved to Melbourne. She has a scar on her chin as a result of a childhood fall. Career She has trained under Jean-Laurent Cochet, Luis Jaime-Cortez, Jordan Beswick, and Scott Williams. She has performed in the theater, and voiced documentaries, advertisements and short plays. As a singer, she is a lyric soprano. John Hollings
John Hollings or Hollins, FRS M.D. (1683?–1739) was an English physician. Hollings was born about 1683, the son of John Hollings, M.D., of Shrewsbury, and formerly fellow of Magdalene College, Cambridge. After attending Shrewsbury School, he entered Emmanuel College, Cambridge in 1700, shortly afterwards migrating to Magdalene College as a pensioner on 27 March 1700. He proceeded M.B. in 1705 and M.D. in 1710. He was admitted a candidate of the Royal College of Physicians on 25 June 1725, and a fellow on 25 June 1726, having on 16 March previously been elected a Fellow of the Royal Society. He rose to be physician-general to the army and physician in ordinary to the king from 1727 to 1739. He died in Pall Mall on 10 May 1739.
