Hollie Webb
Hollie Pearne-Webb, (born 19 September 1990) is an English field hockey player who plays as a defender for Wimbledon and the England and Great Britain national teams. She attended The Ecclesbourne School. Club career Pearne-Webb plays club hockey in the Women's England Hockey League Premier Division for Wimbledon. She has also played for Surbiton, Beeston, Cannock and Belper. International career Pearne-Webb made her senior international debut for England v South Africa in the 2013 Women's Hockey Investec Cup, on 4 February 2013. One year later she made her senior international debut for Great Britain v New Zealand in a test match in San Diego, California, on 11 February 2014. She competed for England in the women's hockey tournament at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where she won a silver medal. She scored the winning penalty in the 2016 Olympic final in Rio de Janeiro. Field Hockey At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's Tournament
The women's field hockey tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics was the eleventh edition of the field hockey event for women at the Summer Olympic Games. It was held from 24 July to 6 August 2021. All games were played at the Oi Hockey Stadium in Tokyo, Japan. It was originally scheduled to be held from 25 July to 7 August 2020, but on 24 March 2020, the Olympics were postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this pandemic, the games were played behind closed doors. The Netherlands won their fourth title, after winning the final 3–1 over Argentina. The defending champions Great Britain won the bronze medal after defeating India 4–3 in the bronze medal game. The Ecclesbourne School is a secondary school with academy status situated in Duffield, Derbyshire, England. The England women's national field hockey team are the current Commonwealth Games champions having previously won silver 3 times. England have also won the 2006 Women's Field Hockey World Cup Qualifier and the 2002 Champions Challenge. History Marjorie Pollard played hockey nearly every year for England from 1921 to 1937. Women's EuroHockey Nations Championship
The Women's EuroHockey Nations Championship is an international women's field hockey competition organized by the European Hockey Federation (EHF) for the top eight European national teams. It is the top division of the EuroHockey Championships. The inaugural tournament took place in 1984. When the tournament is held close to the Summer Olympic games or the Women's Hockey World Cup, the winner of the tournament is awarded a place in those competitions. Field hockey is one of ten core sports at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. It was the fifth appearance of hockey at the Commonwealth Games since its inclusion in 1998.
