Hol is a village in Tjeldsund Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The village is located along the Tjeldsundet strait on the northeastern shore of the island of Tjeldøya. The village lies about north of the Ramsund Bridge. Tjeldsund Church is located in this village. Tjeldsund ( sme, Dielddanuorri) is a municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The southwestern part of the municipality is part of the traditional district of Ofoten and the rest of the municipality is part of Central Hålogaland. Skånland
Skånland ( sme, Skánit) is a former municipality that was located in the old Troms county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1926 until its dissolution in 2020 when it was merged into Tjeldsund Municipality. It was part of the Central Hålogaland region, just southeast of the city of Harstad. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Evenskjer. Other villages included Grovfjord, Renså, Sandstrand, and Tovik. Tjeldsund Church
Tjeldsund Church ( no, Tjeldsund kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Tjeldsund Municipality in Troms county, Norway. It is located in the village of Hol i Tjeldsund on the island of Tjeldøya. It is the main church for the Tjeldsund parish which is part of the Trondenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1901 using plans drawn up by the architect Ole Scheistrøen. The church seats about 420 people. History The earliest existing historical records of the church date back to 1589, but the church was not new at that time. The medieval churches were located about to the east of the present site, nearly to the shoreline of the fjord. Tjeldøya

Tjeldsundet is a strait in Northern Norway. The long strait is located between the island of Hinnøya and mainland Norway in its northern part and between Hinnøya and the island of Tjeldøya in its southern part. Tjeldsundet has been an important waterway for more than 1,000 years and was well known and used during the Viking Age. The northern part is in Troms og Finnmark county between the municipalities of Harstad and Tjeldsund, while the southern part forms the border between Troms og Finnmark and Nordland counties between the municipalities of Tjeldsund and Lødingen. The southern entrance to the strait begins at the Ofotfjorden at the village of Lødingen and the town of Harstad is located at the northern entrance of the strait where it empties into the Vågsfjorden.
