Hobgoblin (Roderick Kingsley)
Roderick Kingsley is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Originally created by Roger Stern and Mike Zeck for ''Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man'' #43 (June 1980), the character was later brought back in the 1997 storyline '' Spider-Man: Hobgoblin Lives'', in which he was revealed as the first and most prominent incarnation of the supervillain Hobgoblin, created by Stern and John Romita Jr. in ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' #238 (March 1983), and previously revealed to be the assassinated Ned Leeds in 1987, the latter being retroactively revealed to have been a brainwashed patsy manipulated by Kingsley over the course of the ''Hobgoblin Lives'' storyline. A conniving fashion designer in New York City, Kingsley gained access to one of Norman Osborn's lairs that housed the Green Goblin's equipment. The Spectacular Spider-Man
''The Spectacular Spider-Man'' is a comic book and magazine series starring Spider-Man and published by Marvel Comics. Following the success of Spider-Man's original series, ''The Amazing Spider-Man'', Marvel felt the character could support more than one title. This led the company in 1968 to launch a short-lived magazine, the first to bear the ''Spectacular'' name. In 1972, Marvel more successfully launched a second Spider-Man ongoing series, ''Marvel Team-Up'', in which he was paired with other Marvel heroes. A third monthly ongoing series, ''Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man'', debuted in 1976. Green Goblin
The Green Goblin is the alias of several supervillains appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The first and best-known incarnation Norman Osborn, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, is generally regarded as one of the archenemies of the superhero Spider-Man, along with Doctor Octopus and Venom. Originally a manifestation of chemically induced insanity, others such as Harry Osborn would take on the persona. The Green Goblin is a Halloween-themed supervillain whose weapons resemble bats, ghosts, and jack-o'-lanterns and in most incarnations uses a hoverboard or glider to fly. Comics journalist and historian Mike Conroy writes of the character: "Of all the costumed villains who've plagued Spider-Man over the years, the most flat-out unhinged and terrifying of them all is the Green Goblin."
