Andrej Hlinka
Andrej Hlinka (born András Hlinka; 27 September 1864 – 16 August 1938) was a Slovak Catholic priest, journalist, banker, politician, and one of the most important Slovakian public activists in Czechoslovakia before the Second World War. He was the leader of the Hlinka's Slovak People's Party (since 1913), papal chamberlain (since 1924), inducted papal protonotary (since 1927), member of the National Assembly of Czechoslovakia, and chairman of the St. Vojtech Fellowship (a religious publication organization). Ivan Hlinka
Ivan Hlinka (January 26, 1950 – August 16, 2004) was a Czech professional ice hockey player and coach. He is considered to be one of the most important figures in Czech ice hockey history. A big centre, his playing style was comparable to Phil Esposito, often scoring with shots from the slot. Playing career Hlinka began to play ice hockey at a young age. When he was six years old, he was playing HC Litvínov's youth team. He played in Czechoslovak league for the first time when he was 16. At age 20, he became a captain Litvínov's men's team and played in the Czechoslovak national team for the first time. Jaroslav Hlinka
Jaroslav Hlinka (born November 10, 1976 in Prague, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech former professional ice hockey forward who played in the National Hockey League for the Colorado Avalanche. He is currently the Sports manager for his longtime club, HC Sparta Praha of the Czech Extraliga. Playing career Hlinka began playing ice hockey at the age of four. When he was fourteen, HC Sparta Praha of the Czech Extraliga offered him a chance on their junior team and he accepted. From 1994 to 2007, Hlinka mostly played for HC Sparta Praha in the Extraliga, scoring 110 goals and winning the Czech Championship four times (2000, 2002, 2006 and 2007). From 2002 to 2006 he played for three seasons with Kloten Flyers in the Swiss Nationalliga A and one season with Ak Bars Kazan in the now defunct Russian Super League. Jiri Hlinka
Jiri Hlinka ( cs, Jiří Hlinka; born 1944) is a Norwegian professor and piano teacher of Czech origin. His most well-known student is Leif Ove Andsnes. Career Hlinka was born in Prague, Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, and was a student of Frantisek Rauch and Joseph Paleniček at the Prague Academy of Music. He started giving concerts in 1966 and reached the finals of the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow the same year. He recorded Sergei Prokofiev's piano sonatas 2 and 6 for Supraphon in 1967. The album was released in Norway in 1998. In 1970, he was forced to give up his soloist career for medical reasons and has since worked as a piano pedagogue. In 1972, he moved to Norway, obtaining Norwegian citizenship in 1982. The Bert Diaries are a series of novels written in the form of a diary, by Swedish writers Anders Jacobsson and Sören Olsson.
