Hlincea Monastery
The Hlincea Monastery ( ro, Mănăstirea Hlincea) is a Romanian Orthodox monastery in Ciurea, Iaşi metropolitan area, Romania. Located at the base of Cetăţuia Hill, the monastery was built by Maria, the daughter of Moldavian Prince Petru Şchiopul and dedicated in 1574. At the middle of the next century, it was rebuilt by Prince Vasile Lupu Lupu Coci, known as Vasile Lupu (; 1595–1661), was a Voivode of Moldavia of Albanian origin between 1634 and 1653. Lupu Coci, known as Vasile Lupu (; 1595–1661), was a List of Moldavian rulers, Voivode of Moldavia of Albanians, Albanian origin between 1634 and 1653.
