Hitoshi Ashinano
is a Japanese manga artist. He is most noted for ''Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō'', for which he won the 2007 Seiun Award for Best Science Fiction Manga. Another notable work is ''PositioN''. Kabu No Isaki
, literally ''Isaki of the Cub'', is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hitoshi Ashinano. It first appeared in the August 2007 issue as a one-shot and subsequently became a semi-regular feature in Kodansha'a ''Monthly Afternoon'' manga magazine. The series ended in the January 2013 issue, and the final volume was released in January 2013 as well. ''Kabu no Isaki'' shares many characteristic hallmarks of Ashinano's style: fascination with aeronautical themes; a setting in the future; a setting on and around the Miura peninsula; a vision of Japan that is isolated and nostalgic; and a natural world full of mystery that the protagonists explore with a sense of wonder. Afternoon is the time after solar noon. It is the time when the sun is descending from its peak in the sky to somewhat before its terminus at the horizon in the west. is a Japanese monthly ''seinen'' manga anthology published by Kodansha under the ''Afternoon'' line of magazines. The first issue was released with a cover date of January 25, 1986. ''Afternoon'' has spawned many successful manga series such as ''Oh My Goddess!'', ''Genshiken'', ''Blade of the Immortal'' and ''Big Windup!''. Kōsuke Fujishima
is a Japanese manga artist. He is known for his love of automobiles and motorcycles, and several of his series and their characters reflect this, such as in ''éX-Driver'' and ''Oh My Goddess!''. Early life and career Born in Chiba, Japan, he first came to public attention as an editor of ''Puff'' magazine, his first job after completing high school. Fujishima originally intended to be a draftsman, but took the editorial role after failing to get a drafting apprenticeship.
