Hitmaka
Christian J. Ward (born September 9, 1985), professionally known as Hitmaka, is an American record producer and former rapper from Chicago, Illinois. Ward began his career as a rapper under the name Yung Berg, having released his debut album ''Look What You Made Me'' in 2007. In his later career, he has become better known as a high-profile record producer and executive in the music industry. In 2020, he was appointed as the vice president of A&R at Atlantic Records. Initially signed to DMX's Bloodline Records as Iceberg, he ultimately signed to Epic Records. Ward's major-label debut single was "Sexy Lady (Yung Berg song), Sexy Lady", and was released in April 2007, and became the lead single for his debut studio album ''Look What You Made Me'' (2008). Sexy Lady (Yung Berg Song)
"Sexy Lady" is the first single by Hitmaka, known then as Yung Berg. It appears on his ''Almost Famous: The Sexy Lady EP'' and his first album, ''Look What You Made Me''. Released in 2007, it samples the London Symphony Orchestra's version of "Diamonds Are Forever (soundtrack), Diamonds Are Forever", and the chorus is an interpolation of Millie Jackson's "Slow Tongue". The single entered the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 at number 99 and peaked at number 18. The music video includes cameos by the actress Drew Sidora and the singer Kat DeLuna. At the end of the video, Yung Berg's song "Where Do We Go" can also be heard. Remix The official remix of the song features Jim Jones (rapper), Jim Jones and Rich Boy. It was released on March 20, 2001, four days after the film, through Blackground Records and Virgin Records with distribution via Warner Bros. Records, and consists primarily of hip hop music. "Do That There" is the first promotional single from Yung Berg's first album '' Look What You Made Me''. The single features the rap group Dude 'n Nem and a verse from their single "Watch My Feet" as the song's hook. Trinity Laure'Ale Home (born March 18, 1995), better known by her stage name Tink, is an American rapper and singer from the Chicago area in Illinois. Bloodline Records was an American hip hop record label, founded by Earl "DMX" Simmons. Bloodline used to be distributed by Def Jam Recordings but is no more, as DMX left Def Jam for Sony BMG Records.
