''Hit Parade'' is Audio Adrenaline's first greatest hits album. It features fifteen hits from the band's previous albums, plus two new songs: "Will Not Fade" and "One Like You". Reception The album received favorable reviews from critics with John DiBiase, of Jesus Freak Hideout, giving it 4.5 stars out of 5. DiBiase classified it as "one of the best and most solid collections" he has heard while calling the two new songs as "superb". Dacia Blodgett-Williams, of AllMusic, gave the album 3 stars out of 5, writing that "while no doubt original in many aspects, all of Audio Adrenaline's music on this particular album began to sound alike after several tracks." Audio Adrenaline was an American Christian rock band that formed in 1986 at Kentucky Christian University in Grayson, Kentucky. The band gained recognition during the 1990s and received two Grammy Awards and multiple Dove Awards. Audio Adrenaline were regular performers at the annual Creation Festival, Spirit West Coast festival, Agape Music Festival, and Alive Festival. In 2007, the group disbanded due to lead singer Mark Stuart's spasmodic dysphonia. During this time, they released eight studio albums. After a hiatus, the band reformed in 2012 with only bassist Will McGinniss returning from the original line-up. The new Audio Adrenaline was fronted by Kevin Max, formerly of DC Talk, as the new lead vocalist. This new line-up released '' Kings & Queens'' on March 12, 2013. In June 2014, Max stepped down as lead singer of the band. Bob Herdman
Robert Vaughn Herdman (born March 8, 1966) is a Christian musician, songwriter and producer more known for being a member of the band Audio Adrenaline. Life and career Herdman grew up in Lynchburg, a rural town in the southwest part of Ohio. At 17 Herdman joined the elite Army Rangers. During his time in the Rangers Herdman had several parachuting accidents which resulted in minor injuries and broken bones. He was also involved in a helicopter crash that resulted in no injuries. After completing Ranger School, Special forces Combat Diver School and other specialty schools, Herdman decided to end his time in the military after four years. After leaving the Army, Herdman attended Kentucky Christian College where he majored in Math and Science. KCC is also the place where Herdman met the members of the band Audio Adrenaline, then called A-180. Charles William Ashworth (born August 10, 1956), known professionally as Charlie Peacock, is an American singer, songwriter, pianist, record producer, and author. His albums include ''Love Press Ex-Curio'', ''Arc of the Circle'' and ''No Man's Land'' (2012). He is the founder of re:think, a record label that signed acts such as Switchfoot. ''Don't Censor Me'' is the second studio album by Audio Adrenaline, released on ForeFront Records on October 1, 1993. The album features the track " Big House", which is considered the band's most popular song. Background and concept According to the band, the album is aimed at a young audience like they were at the time. In an interview with CCM Magazine in 1996, they described the songs as "cheerleader songs" for their upbeat and cheerful rhythms. In the same interview, the band agrees that ''Don't Censor Me'' better approached the style and concept they wanted, when compared to their first album, but "it still didn't hit the mark". ''Some Kind of Zombie'' is the fourth studio album released by Audio Adrenaline. Concept According to Audio Adrenaline, the album concept and its title song are based on the Scripture, specifically Colossians, Chapter 3, where it talks about "giving life over to God". The inspiration came from singer Mark Stuart's experience living with his missionary parents in Haiti, where voodoo is heavily practiced. According to Stuart, the message is that "you can be dead to your old self after becoming a new person through religion." Recording ''Some Kind of Zombie'' was recorded in 1997 at Ardent Recordings in Memphis and Shakin' Studios in Franklin. Recording was produced by John Hampton. Mark Alan Stuart (born April 14, 1968) is an American missionary and former Christian rock musician, singer and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist for the Christian rock band Audio Adrenaline during their original run from 1986 to 2007. Mark has won 2 Grammy Awards and has been nominated for 6. Audio Adrenaline Mark Stuart met the original guitarist and bassist for Audio Adrenaline, Barry Blair and Will McGinniss, while attending Kentucky Christian College (now known as Kentucky Christian University).
