''Historias e Histeria'' is La Ley's second greatest hits compilation album. The band was convinced to do this in lieu of a new studio album. The band had to make an album of 16 songs (with three new ones) in very limited amount of time. The album was released almost immediately after their previous album '' Libertad'' after only one year of the latter's release. The album contains some of the most popular songs of each of their albums plus three new songs, "Mirate", "Histeria", and "Bienvenido al Anochecer." The first single of the album ''Mírate'' was released while the band was still promoting the final single "Mi Ley" from the album, ''Libertad''. La Ley (; ) were a Chilean rock band formed by Andrés Bobe, Rodrigo Aboitiz, Luciano Rojas and Mauricio Claveria with Beto Cuevas. History After an unsuccessful first album, '' Desiertos'' (1990), they released '' Doble Opuesto'' (1991), which appears as the official first album of the band. Singles like "Desiertos," "Tejedores de Ilusión," and "Prisioneros de la Piel" made them stars in Chile, Argentina and Mexico, especially after the release of '' La Ley'', their second recording (1993). After Bobe's death in 1994, La Ley continued with a new guitarist, Pedro Frugone, and released two more albums; in 1995, the band released '' Invisible'', the album was their international breakout record and provided to the band their best-selling studio album to date, it included the number ones "Dia Cero" and "El Duelo". Vértigo (La Ley Album)
''Vértigo'' is La Ley's fifth album, released in 1998. Content and reception Due to the success of ''Invisible'', the band hardly found time to record what would be their next album. However, in 1997 they began recording and announced the album's release date for the middle of that summer, but it was later delayed until 1998. At the time, Rodrigo Aboitiz (the band's keyboardist) caused a series of troubles, missing the first weeks of recording. Generally, the album was completed with the same band members that worked on ''Invisible'', but just before the release, Rodrigo Aboitiz left the band due to a drug problem. After the album was finished, he left the band, effectively leaving the band without a studio keyboardist. One month before the release of the album, the first single, "Fotofobia", was released and slashed by critics. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. Beto Cuevas
Luis Alberto Cuevas Olmedo (born September 12, 1967), better known as Beto Cuevas (), is a Chilean-Canadian singer, song writer, plastic artist, painter, and actor. He is the lead singer for the Chilean band La Ley. In 2008 he launched his solo career with the release of his album, ''Miedo Escénico''. In 2012 he released his second album called ''Transformación''. Music career 1988–2004: La Ley In 1988, during a trip to Concón, Chile, Beto met Mauricio Clavería, drummer for La Ley. ''Uno'' (English: ''One'') is the sixth studio album by Chilean rock band La Ley, released on February 21, 2000 by Warner Music Group. Content Recording This was the first album released by the band after the departure of Rodrigo Aboitiz and Luciano Rojas. The band went on to record this studio album as a trio, with the addition of guest Archie Frugone to record the bass tracks. Touring bassist J.C. Cumplido returned to tour with them until his departure from the lineup in 2001. Cumplido was replaced by Archie Frugone for the remainder of the tour and beyond.
