Hisayuki Machii
, nicknamed the , was the founder of one of Japan's most notorious yakuza gangs, the Tosei-Kai. Life Early years According to his widow Yasuyo, Machii was born Jeong Geon-Yeong (정건영/) as the first-generation Korean born in Minami-Sakuma Cho, Shiba Ward, Tokyo. His mother left him in the care of his grandmother in Seoul (at the time under Imperial Japanese occupation and known as Keijō). He returned to Tokyo when he was thirteen. After World War II, Machii became involved in postwar Japan's thriving black market. He entered Senshu University in 1943, however, he dropped out of it. By 1948, he had formed his own gang, the Tosei-kai or "Voice of the East Gang" which grew to over 1,500 members by the early 1960s. The Tosei-kai became so powerful in Tokyo that they were known as the Ginza police, and even the Yamaguchi-gumi's Taoka had to cut a deal with Machii to allow that group to operate in Tokyo. Hisayuki Sasaki (27 November 1964 – 3 January 2013) was a Japanese professional golfer. Sasaki won three tournaments on the Japan Golf Tour and featured in the top 100 of the Official World Golf Ranking. Sasaki tied Davis Love III for the individual trophy of the 1995 World Cup of Golf but lost on the fifth hole of a sudden-death playoff. Sasaki played on the PGA Tour in 1996 but with only three top-25 finishes he failed to maintain his playing rights. He finished third in the 1997 Andersen Consulting World Championship of Golf. Hisayuki Toriumi
, sometimes credited as Eikō Toriumi, was a Japanese animation director, storyboardist, screenwriter, and novelist. He is best known for directing the TV show ''Science Ninja Team Gatchaman'' and also credited for his contributions to several other anime series. He is known to Japanese fans for his TV series ''The Wonderful Adventures of Nils'' and ''Shima Shima Tora no Shimajirō'' and to international fans for his work in ''Area 88'', ''Dallos'', ''The Mysterious Cities of Gold'', and '' Tekkaman: The Space Knight''.
