''His Lordship'' is a 1936 British drama film directed by Herbert Mason and starring George Arliss, Romilly Lunge and Rene Ray. It was released with the alternative title ''Man of Affairs'' in the United States. Plot Its plot involves Arliss as a British Foreign secretary swapping identities with his black sheep twin brother (also Arliss), and the rescuing of Britain from war with an Arab nation. Production The film was based on the 1931 play ''The Nelson Touch'' by Neil Grant. It was made the Lime Grove Studios in London, with sets designed by art director Alfred Junge. ''Kinematograph Weekly'', popularly known as ''Kine Weekly'', was a trade paper catering to the British film industry between 1889 and 1971. History ''Kinematograph Weekly'' was founded in 1889 as the monthly publication ''Optical Magic Lantern and Photographic Enlarger''. In 1907 it was renamed ''Kinematograph Weekly'', containing trade news, advertisements, reviews, exhibition advice, and reports of regional and national meetings of trade organisations such as the Cinematograph Exhibitors' Association and the Kinema Renters' Society. An alternative title is a media sales device most prominently used in film distribution. Tony Sloman is a cinema critic and historian, whose long career has encompassed many facets of film making.
