His Forgotten Wife
''His Forgotten Wife'' is a 1924 American silent drama film directed by William A. Seiter and starring Warner Baxter, Madge Bellamy, and Tom Guise.Munden p. 352 Plot As described in a film magazine review, Donald Allen is reported killed in France during the war. His fiancee, Corinne McRea, inherits his property. Donald, a victim of lost memory through shock, returns to America married to his French nurse, Suzanne, under the name of John Rolfe. They both obtain jobs as servants at Donald's home. He is recognized by the estate trustee. Corinne attempts to escape with the bank roll, but is foiled by Suzanne. An operation restores Donald's memory of his old life, but he temporarily forgets Suzanne. However, he regains his lost consciousness in time to know his wife and all ends well. Hazel Keener (October 22, 1904 – August 7, 1979) was a motion picture actress from Fairbury, Illinois. She was raised in Davenport, Iowa. Keener won a national beauty contest sponsored by the Chicago Tribune and used her success to begin a film career in Hollywood. She was a blonde, 5 feet 6 inches in height, 128 lbs., with a slender, athletic build. Her hair was chestnut brown and she had gray eyes. Maude Wayne (born Maude Wehn) was an American film actress who was active in Hollywood during the silent era. Biography Maude was born in Beatrice, Nebraska, to Louis Wehn and Maria McCathern. She was the youngest of the couple's children, and her brother Richard Wayne also became an actor. After starting as an extra in Triangle productions, she began appearing in Keystone films around 1917, often as one of Mack Sennett's bathing beauties. Following a few years spent in comedies, she later transitioned to heavier, vampier, more dramatic roles at Paramount, sometimes playing the leading lady to Rudolph Valentino. She retired from acting in the late 1920s before she married fellow actor Johnnie Walker. Willis Marks (August 20, 1865, Rochester, Minnesota, United States – December 6, 1952, Los Angeles, California) was an American silent film actor. Biography In 1888, Marks debuted on stage professionally. He acted in Oliver Morosco's stock company for nine years.He went to Hollywood in 1915, and for 20 years he portrayed older men in many films, including '' The Dramatic Life of Abraham Lincoln'' (1924), in which he played William Seward. Marks' career declined after the emergence of sound movies. Marks was married to actress Carroll Marshall. His son, Chandler Marks, was also an actor.
