Hiroyuki Sonoda
was a Japanese politician serving in the Diet (national legislature) as a member of the House of Representatives for Kumamoto 4th district; following the 2017 general election when Kumamoto lost one seat due to reapportionment, he moved to the Kyūshū proportional representation block. He was a member of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), previous party affiliations have been independent→LDP→New Party Sakigake→Independent→LDP→ Sunrise Party of Japan→ Sunrise Party→Japan Restoration Party→Party for Future Generations→Sunrise Party→Party for Future Generations→LDP. Murayama Cabinet
The governed Japan under the leadership of Prime Minister Tomiichi Murayama from 1994 until a 1995 Cabinet Reshuffle. Murayama was elected prime minister by the National Diet on 29 June 1994 after the threat of a no-confidence vote had brought down the previous minority Hata Cabinet. Murayama's and his cabinet's formal investiture by the Emperor took place one day later. The coalition cabinet consisted of 13 Liberal Democratic Party (Japan), Liberal Democrats, six Japanese Socialist Party, Socialists (including the Prime Minister) and two members of New Party Sakigake. All ministers were members of the Diet, the only woman in the cabinet was science and technology minister Makiko Tanaka. Kumamoto 2nd District (1947–1993)
is a current single-member electoral district for the House of Representatives, the lower house of the National Diet of Japan. It is located in Kumamoto and covers Western parts of the prefectural capital Kumamoto (parts of Nishi-ku, shared with the 1st electoral district and parts of Minami-ku, shared with the 4th district), the cities of Arao and Tamana and the Tamana county with its remaining four municipalities, the towns of Nagasu, Nankan, Nagomi and Gyokutō. ''JANJAN'' (), short for ''Japan Alternative News for Justices and New Cultures'' (), was a Japanese online newspaper started by Ken Takeuchi, journalist and former mayor of Kamakura, Kanagawa. Launched in February 2003, the newspaper is credited for pioneering citizen journalism in Japan. After registration, anyone was free to post comments on the JANJAN website. However, there were different windows for registering depending on the nationality or ethnicity of the potential poster (i.e. a different one for "Foreigners" (外国の方) and Japanese). The bulk of the newspaper's revenue came from advertisements by its corporate sponsor. Due a lack of revenue, the newspaper ceased publication at the end of March 2010.
