Married and maiden names, née Suzuki is a Japanese sport wrestler who competes in the women's Freestyle Wrestling, freestyle category. She claimed silver medal in the 2019 World Wrestling Championships - Women's freestyle 76 kg, women's 76 kg event during the 2019 World Wrestling Championships and also qualified to represent Japan at the 2020 Summer Olympics which will be held in Japan. She was part of the Japan team which emerged as winners of the Wrestling World Cup in 2018. Wrestling World Cup is an international wrestling competition among teams representing member nations of the United World Wrestling (UWW) the sport's global governing body. The cups have been conducted by FILA (the UWW predecessor) every year since the 1973 tournament. The World Cup began as a dual-meet competition for the top teams on each continent, but now features the top teams in the rankings of the previous year's world championships.
