Description The length of the shell varies between 35 mm and 43 mm. (Original description) In comparison with '' Hindsiclava alesidota'', the shell is more slender, the sculpture more elegant, the spiral element proportionally stronger, existing on the fasciole and siphonal canal, as well as over the rest of the surface. This is a very plain, simple looking species of a dull color. Distribution This marine species occurs from North Carolina to West Florida, USA; and off Barbados and Guadeloupe Guadeloupe (; ; gcf, label=Antillean Creole, Gwadloup, ) is an archipelago and overseas department and region of France in the Caribbean. Hindsiclava Resina
''Hindsiclava resina'' is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Pseudomelatomidae. This species was questionably placed in synonymy with '' Hindsiclava militaris'' Description The length of the shell varies between 30 mm and 75 mm. (Original description) The decollate, fusiform shell is moderately large, slender and solid. The spire is longer than the aperture . The shell has a broad, somewhat constricted anal fasciole and closely appressed suture, the fasciole chiefly sculptured by incremental lines. The whorls show an angle at the shoulder where terminate (on the penultimate whorl twenty) straight, somewhat protractive, low, narrow, rather sharp axial ribs. These extend forward on the body whorl nearly to the base. Incremental lines are rather prominent. The spiral sculpture consists of a few faint striae on the fasciole, between the fasciole and the next suture on the spire of five or six strap-like ridges with narrower interspace ...

Description The length of the shell varies between 18 mm and 28 mm. The shell is narrower than '' Crassispira callosa'' (Kiener, 1840), with more numerous ribs and a longer siphonal canal The siphonal canal is an anatomical feature of the shells of certain groups of sea snails within the clade Neogastropoda. Hindsiclava Eupora
''Hindsiclava eupora'' is an extinct species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Pseudomelatomidae, the turrids and allies. Description The five whorls have a height of 16 mm and a maximum diameter 5.75 mm. The small, slender shell is elongate. It contains more than 6 flattish whorls (specimen decollate). The suture is distinct, separated from the fasciole in front by an elevated spiral ridge, carinated and beveled from the carina to the suture which is slightly undulated by the ribs. The anal fasciole is excavated and spirally faintly striated, especially on the anterior slope. The axial sculpture consists of (on the body whorl) about 20 sharp low straight narrow ribs, with much wider interspaces, and extending from the shoulder to the siphonal canal. The spiral sculpture between the sutures consists of 4 fine elevated threads, including 1 at the shoulder and a fifth on which the suture is laid, with wider flat interspaces. On the body whorl, the ...

Description The length of the shell attains 29 mm, its diameter 10 mm. (Original description) This species differs from the recent '' Hindsiclava alesidota'' (Dall, 1889) and ''Hindsiclava macilenta'' (Dall, 1889) in its shorter whorl A whorl ( or ) is an individual circle, oval, volution or equivalent in a whorled pattern, which consists of a spiral or multiple concentric objects (including circles, ovals and arcs). Hindsiclava Polytorta
''Hindsiclava polytorta'' is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Pseudomelatomidae. Description The length of the shell varies between 30 mm and 60 mm. (Original description) The large, slender, solid, shell contains about thirteen whorls. These are of a dull ashen color and unpolished surface. The protoconch is missing. The succeeding whorls are transversely sculptured by twelve or thirteen rounded, shouldered ribs. These begin and are largest just before the notch-band, crossing the whorls a little obliquely or even in a directly transverse direction. They become widest at the beginning, becoming narrower and less prominent anteriorly. They fade out or become indistinct on the body whorl on the anterior half, and are less numerous or partially obliterated over the latter part of this whorl in fully developed adults. The lines of growth are more or less distinct, but not uniform, while the ribs on one whorl bear no uniform relation in p ...

Hindsiclava Andromeda
''Hindsiclava andromeda'' is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Pseudomelatomidae. Description The length of the shell varies between 16 mm and 60 mm. (Original description) The acute, fusiform shell is whitish with a brown periostracum. The protoconch is small, the apex is minutely globular and, with the succeeding inflated whorl, smooth. The subsequent eight whorls are regularly increasing in diameter. The suture is closely appressed, obscure, bordered in front by two undulated cords, the anterior cord larger. The axial sculpture consists of (on the body whorl 18) equal narrow nodulous ribs with subequal interspaces. The ribs extend well over the base from the anterior margin of the anal fasciole, where they form a marked shoulder. The incremental lines are hardly noticeable except on the fasciole. The spiral sculpture consists of (on the spire three) strong cords, the posterior slightly larger, which become swollen and nodulous w ...

Hindsiclava Alesidota
''Hindsiclava alesidota'', common name the lean turris, is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Pseudomelatomidae, the turrids. Description The length of the shell varies between 20 mm and 53 mm. (Original description) The large, slender shell is ashy brown or light brown, pointed, and rudely sculptured. It contains 10 whorls, with a protoconch of about two whorls, round, small, glassy, smooth, and inflated. The fasciole is slightly concave, nearly smooth, very steep, separated from the suture by a smoothish space, and marginated by a slightly raised thread. The suture is appressed. The spiral sculpture consists of numerous subequal little elevated revolving threads with wider interspaces. They are strongest on the summit of the riblets and faint in the interspaces. There are about five in front of the fasciole and between it and the next suture. They are fainter on the siphonal canal The siphonal canal is an anatomical feature of th ...

Hindsiclava Calligonoides
''Hindsiclava calligonoides'' is an extinct species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Pseudomelatomidae, the turrids and allies. Description The length of the shell attains 32 mm, its diameter 8.5 mm. (Original description) The shell is slender. The spire is elevated and acute. The aperture is only a little more than one-third as high as the entire shell. The shell contains numerous whorls, 11 or 12 in the spire of the adult. The protoconch is smooth, polished, papillate, thrice coiled. The initial whorls is coiled in a single plane, largely submerged. The succeeding whorls become increasingly less depressed and broadly elevated. The body whorl is moderately high and evenly convex. The line of demarcation between spire and the protoconch is indicated by the protractive thickening of the shell and by the introduction of the axial sculpture. Each of the earlier whorls contains 12 axials, feebly protractive, strongly elevated, undulatory in cha ...
