Himu (character)
Himu or Himaloy ( bn, হিমু or হিমালয়) is a fictional character created by the Bangladeshi writer Humayun Ahmed who appears in a disjunct series of novels. The character first appeared in the novel titled ''Mayurakkhi'' published in 1990. Character The real name of the character is Himalay, a name given by his father. He follows a lifestyle that was instructed by his psychopathic father who wanted him to be a great man. Himu wears a yellow panjabi that does not have a pocket and lives a mostly nomadic life. He walks barefoot on the streets of Dhaka without a certain destination. He does not have a job and, therefore, no source of income. He prefers the life of a beggar to that of a hard worker, often praising begging. However, Himu walks endlessly – never using any form of transportation. Humayun Ahmed
Humayun Ahmed (; 13 November 1948 – 19 July 2012) was a Bangladeshi novelist, dramatist, screenwriter, filmmaker, songwriter, scholar, and professor. His breakthrough was his debut novel ''Nondito Noroke'' published in 1972. He wrote over 200 fiction and non-fiction books, many of which were bestsellers in Bangladesh. His books were the top sellers at the Ekushey Book Fair during the 1990s and 2000s. He won the Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1981 and the Ekushey Padak in 1994 for his contribution to Bengali literature. In the early 1990s, Ahmed emerged as a filmmaker. He went on to make a total of eight films - each based on his own novels. He received six Bangladesh National Film Awards in different categories for the films ''Daruchini Dip'', ''Aguner Poroshmoni'' and ''Ghetuputra Komola''. ''Eisob Dinratri'' ('' en, All These Days and Nights'') is a 1985 Bangla family-drama written by Humayun Ahmed and aired on BTV. The drama tells the story of a middle class joint family that lives in the capital city Dhaka. The drama shows the happiness, love, marriage, deaths and troubles a middle class family in Bangladesh faces in everyday life. The story ends with the death of a young girl called "''Tuni''" due to a life threatening disease called Leukemia. Viewers of the serial demanded Humayun Ahmed to save the character "''Tuni''". But Ahmed stood on his decision. Humayun Ahmed wrote the story of the drama series for the purpose of raising money to buy a television. Shadhin Khosru
Habib Wahid (born 15 October 1979) is a Bangladeshi composer and singer. He works on modern pop music, EDM and a fusion of traditional Bengali folk music with contemporary techno and urban beats. His music is mainly influenced by British Bangladeshis, while he was living in the UK as a student. He is the son of the 1970s singer Ferdous Wahid. Baker Bhai ( bn, বাকের ভাই lit. "Brother Bāker") is the lead character in a popular Bangladeshi television series called ''Kothao Keu Nei''. Shuvro
Shuvro (শুভ্র in Bengali), sometimes transliterated as Shubhro or Śubhra, is a fictional character created by Bangladeshi writer Humayun Ahmed. Shuvro is one of Ahmed's recurring characters, who first appeared in the short story "Ekti Shada Gari" ("A White Car"). The character became popular, and Ahmed wrote six novels about Shuvro between 1990 and 2010, including ''Daruchini Dip'' (''Cinnamon Island''), which was adapted as a film in 2007 starring Riaz as Shuvro. The character, whose name translates as "White", is meant to be a perfect spirit, set apart from the world.
