The high school serves students on the island in addition to some students living in Bluffton, South Carolina, Bluffton through the Beaufort County School District "school choice program". Wayne Simmons (American Football)
Wayne General Simmons (December 15, 1969 – August 23, 2002) was an American football linebacker in the National Football League. Simmons was drafted by the Green Bay Packers with the 15th pick of the first round of the 1993 NFL Draft. Simmons played for Green Bay for four and a half years, earning a Super Bowl ring at the end of the Super Bowl XXXI, 1996 season. Sean Christopher Haire (February 25, 1971 – September 8, 2014) was an American professional wrestler, mixed martial artist and kickboxer, better known by his ring name Sean O'Haire. William Ryan Kelly (born October 30, 1987) is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves in 2015. Career Early career Kelly attended Hilton Head High School in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and Walters State Community College in Morristown, Tennessee. The Pittsburgh Pirates selected Kelly in the 26th round of the 2006 Major League Baseball Draft. Kaylon Nakia Ford Jr. (born November 19, 1995) is an American football defensive tackle for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). Ford was a standout at Hilton Head Island High School. He initially committed to the University of Louisville but changed his commitment when coach Charlie Strong left Louisville to take the head coaching job at the University of Texas.
