Hillsboro is an unincorporated community in Coffee County, Tennessee, Coffee County, Tennessee, United States, that was treated as a census-designated place for the 2010 U.S. Census. The population was 450 as of the 2010 census. The community is concentrated around the intersection of U.S. Route 41 and Tennessee State Route 127, between Manchester, Tennessee, Manchester to the northwest and Monteagle, Tennessee, Monteagle to the southeast. The Cumberland Plateau rises to the east, and Arnold Air Force Base lies to the west. Arnold Air Force Base
Arnold Air Force Base (Arnold AFB) is a United States Air Force base located in Coffee and Franklin counties, Tennessee, adjacent to the city of Tullahoma. It is named for General Henry "Hap" Arnold, the father of the U.S. Air Force. There is no longer an active airfield on the base, as the airfield was decommissioned in 2009. Army aviation assets (helicopters) continue to utilize Arnold as part of missions supporting Fort Campbell, Kentucky or the Tennessee Army National Guard. Cumberland Plateau

Monteagle is a town in Franklin, Grundy, and Marion counties in the U.S. state of Tennessee, in the Cumberland Plateau region of the southeastern part of the state. State Route 127 (SR 127) is a 43.52 mile long north-south state highway in Middle Tennessee. It connects Decherd with McMinnville via Hillsboro and Viola. Route description SR 127 begins in Franklin County in Decherd at an intersection with US 41A/ SR 16 at the northern edge of town. It goes northeast through farmland to have an intersection with SR 279 before crossing the Woods Reservoir/ Elk River and entering Coffee County shortly thereafter.
