Andrew Hilditch
Andrew Mark Jefferson Hilditch (born 20 May 1956) is a former Australian international cricketer who played in 18 Test matches and eight One Day Internationals from 1979 to 1985. He played for New South Wales from 1977 to 1981 and for South Australia from 1982 to 1992. He was an Australian cricket selector from 1996 until 2011. Early career Hilditch was born in North Adelaide, South Australia, but made his First-class debut for New South Wales against Tasmania in Hobart in February 1977, scoring 5 and 42. Tasmania was not yet in the Sheffield Shield and the NSW side was mostly full of younger players. Hilditch played a further four matches for NSW in 1977/78 when the NSW side was weakened through the loss of players to World Series Cricket. He filled in as NSW captain in only his third match for them. David Hilditch
David Hilditch (born 11 December 1963) is a Unionist politician from Northern Ireland representing the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP). Hilditch has been a Member of the Northern Ireland Assembly (MLA) for East Antrim since 1998. Hilditch was born in 1963 in Carrickfergus. He previously worked in the construction industry and for Royal Mail between 1987 and 1998. In February 1997 he was awarded the RUC Bravery Award following a post office robbery. He was first elected to Carrickfergus Borough Council in 1991. He was elected as deputy mayor in 1995 and elected to mayor in 1997 and also served as mayor from 2004 to 2008. He was elected to the Northern Ireland Assembly (MLA) for East Antrim in 1998 and again in both 2003 and 2007. Clarence George "Lal" Hilditch (2 June 1894 – 31 October 1977), also known as Clarrie Hilditch, was an English footballer, and one of only two men to have been simultaneously a player and the manager at Manchester United (the other being Ryan Giggs). Hilditch was born in Hartford, Cheshire, and began his playing career with Hartford, before moving on to Cheshire League sides Witton Albion and Altrincham. Mark Hilditch (born 20 August 1960 in Shaw and Crompton, Lancashire) is an English former footballer who played as a striker. Hilditch started his professional career at Rochdale, making almost 200 league appearances for the club. He went on to play for Tranmere Rovers and Wigan Athletic before returning to Rochdale in 1990. He made just 16 appearances in his second spell at the club, and in 1992 he left the club to play for Buxton in non-league football. Ron Hilditch (born 13 August 1953) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer and coach. An Australian international and New South Wales State of Origin representative forward, he played club football for the Parramatta Eels with whom he won the 1981 NSWRFL Premiership. Playing career Hilditch made his first grade debut for Parramatta in round 6 of the 1975 season against Western Suburbs. In 1976, he played in Parramatta's first ever grand final which was a 13–10 loss to Manly-Warringah. Stephen Hilditch (born Whitehead, County Antrim on 6 June 1946) is a former Irish international rugby union referee from Northern Ireland who has refereed matches to World Cup level. He was a member of the Ireland International Referee Panel from 1984 until 1995, and has been an IRB international referee selector since 2003. He was President of the Ulster Branch of the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) for the 2003 / 2004 season. He joined the IRFU Committee in June 2004, becoming President of the organisation in the 2016/2017 season. Thomas Arthur Hilditch (10 January 1885 – 7 August 1957) was an English cricketer. Hilditch was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm fast-medium. He was born at Sandbach, Cheshire. Hilditch made his first-class debut for Warwickshire against Northamptonshire in the 1907 County Championship. In that season and the one which followed, Hilditch made six first-class appearances for the county. In 1910, he appeared three times for his native Cheshire in the Minor Counties Championship, playing against the Nottinghamshire Second XI, the Yorkshire Second XI and Staffordshire. He next appeared in first-class cricket for Warwickshire in the 1912 County Championship against Leicestershire. He made a further first-class appearance in the 1913 County Championship against Gloucestershire. Thomas Percy Hilditch (22 April 1886 – 9 August 1965) was an English chemist who researched organic synthesis, lipid chemistry, and catalytic production techniques. He served as a professor of industrial chemistry at the University of Liverpool. Hilditch was born in North Islington to Thomas and Priscilla née Hall. He was educated at Owen's School where he was influenced in science by his teachers F.R. Guglielmo and A.E. Dunstan. He joined University College, London to study chemistry under William Ramsay and J. Norman Collie graduating in 1907. He then worked at the University of Jena in 1908–1909 with Ludwig Knorr and University of Geneva 1910–1911 with P.A. Guye before returning to London to complete studies. He received a D.Sc. in 1911.
