High Street is one of the main thoroughfares and shopping areas in the city centre of Sheffield in South Yorkshire, England, located at the approximate grid reference of . High Street starts at the Commercial Street, Fitzalan Square and Haymarket junction and runs for approximately 400 metres west to conclude near the Sheffield Cathedral where it forms a Y-junction with Fargate and Church Street. Cooplands (Coopland & Son (Scarborough) Ltd) is the second largest bakery chain in the UK with over 160 outlets and 12 cafes located primarily across Yorkshire, County Durham and Lincolnshire in the United Kingdom. Castle Square, Sheffield
Castle Square is the plaza at the intersection of High Street, Angel Street, and Arundel Gate in the City of Sheffield, England. This name was given to the square in the 1960s to reflect the proximity of the square to the site of Sheffield Castle, which was formerly located a short distance to the north-east. History Market Place Castle Square was originally known as the Market Place (or the Shambles); markets were held on this site from 1296 (the name Market Place still applies to the short street, now pedestrianised, between High Street and Angel Street). A market cross was erected here in 1568 but was taken down in 1786, when the market moved into the new Fitzalan Market Hall that was built over part of the market square. A monument to the poet Ebenezer Elliott was erected on the same site in 1854 and was moved to Weston Park in 1875, where it can still be seen. The Sheffield Supertram is a tram and tram-train network covering Sheffield and Rotherham in South Yorkshire, England. The infrastructure is owned by the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE), with Stagecoach responsible for the operation and maintenance of rolling stock under a concession until 2024, under the brand name Stagecoach Supertram. James Gomer Berry, 1st Viscount Kemsley, GBE (7 May 1883 – 6 February 1968) was a Welsh colliery owner and newspaper publisher. Background Berry was born the son of John Mathias and Mary Ann (née Rowe) Berry, of Merthyr Tydfil in Wales. He was the younger brother of Henry Berry, 1st Baron Buckland, an industrialist, and William Berry, 1st Viscount Camrose, a fellow press lord. Career Berry originally co-owned ''The Daily Telegraph'' with his second brother Lord Camrose, and Lord Burnham. He founded Kemsley Newspapers, which owned ''The Sunday Times'', ''The Daily Sketch'' and ''The Sunday Graphic'' amongst its titles. Berry was chairman of the Reuters News Agency from 1951 to 1958.
