High Park Station
High Park is a subway station on Line 2 Bloor–Danforth of the Toronto subway in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located just north of Bloor Street West, spanning the block east of Quebec Avenue to High Park Avenue. It opened in 1968 as part of the westerly extension from to Islington station. Wi-Fi service is available at this station. Station description The station is mostly underground, lying behind the properties which face on to the north side of Bloor Street. The main entrance is from Quebec Avenue at the westerly end of the surface bus transfer area, with the ticketing mezzanine one level below, above the east end of the train platforms. The station has escalators here, but despite having ramps at the street entrance it does not have elevators to provide access to the platforms for those with physical disabilities. Humberside Collegiate Institute (also known as Humberside CI, HCI, or Humberside), formerly known as Toronto Junction High School and Toronto Junction Collegiate Institute is a public high school located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It serves the Bloor West Village, Baby Point, High Park North and Junction neighbourhoods. Prior to 1998, it was within the Toronto Board of Education (TBE). Humberside was established in 1892 and has an academic program for students in grades 9 through 12. High Park is a municipal park in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. High Park is a mixed recreational and natural park, with sporting facilities, cultural facilities, educational facilities, gardens, playgrounds and a zoo. One-third of the park remains in a natural state, with a rare oak savannah ecology. Islington is a subway station on Line 2 Bloor–Danforth of the Toronto subway in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located on the north side of Bloor Street West on the west side of Islington Avenue. A central platform serves trains running in both directions. History Islington station was opened in 1968 in what was then the Etobicoke, Borough of Etobicoke and served as the western terminus for Line 2 Bloor–Danforth for 12 years until the extension to was completed in 1980.
