Hieracium Floribundum
''Pilosella floribunda'' (synonym ''Hieracium floribundum'', also known as pale hawkweed, smoothish hawkweed, yellow hawkweed, and yellow devil hawkweed) is a species of noxious and herbaceous perennial plant from family Asteraceae that is known in Europe (particularly France) and can also be found in United States and Canada. It was believed that it was a hybrid of ''Pilosella caespitosa'' (''Hieracium caespitosum'' and ''Pilosella lactucella ''Pilosella lactucella'' (synonym ''Hieracium lactucella'', also called European hawkweed) is a species of perennial plant from the family Asteraceae, found in Europe, New York (United States) and Nova Scotia (Canada). It is in height, with stem ...'' (''Hieracium lactucella''). Description The plant is 10 to 36 inches tall. The flowers bloom from June to July, are clustered, and are 1/2 inch wide. Christian Friedrich Heinrich Wimmer
__NOTOC__ Christian Friedrich Heinrich Wimmer (October 30, 1803 – March 12, 1868) was a German botanist and educator who was a native of Breslau. From 1821 he studied philology and natural sciences at the University of Breslau, and after completion of studies, taught classes at Friedrichs gymnasium in Breslau. In 1835 he received the title of professor, and from 1863 served as a ''Schulrat'' (education official). He was author of several publications on Silesian flora, and specialized in the study of the willow genus ''Salix''. The plant genus ''Wimmeria'' within the family Celastraceae is named after him.BHL
