Hideo Yamamoto (cinematographer)
is a Japanese manga artist. He is best known as the creator of the manga series '' Ichi the Killer'', which was adapted into a live-action film by Takashi Miike in 2001, and '' Homunculus''. Recurring themes in his manga are crime, sexual deviations, and the human mind. Biography Hideo Yamamoto received the "Tetsuya Chiba Award", given to promising young manga creators in 1988. After resigning from the post of assistant of a popular seinen manga artist, Kenshi Hirokane, he made his professional debut by drawing ''SHEEP'' (written by Masahiko Takasho) for Weekly Young Sunday in 1989. Seinen Manga
is an editorial category of Japanese comics marketed toward young adult men. In Japanese, the word ''seinen'' literally means "youth", but the term "''seinen'' manga" is also used to describe the target audience of magazines like ''Weekly Manga Times'' and ''Weekly Manga Goraku'' which cater specifically to men's interests, and are marketed towards a demographic of young adult men between the ages of 18 and 40. ''Seinen'' manga are distinguished from ''shōnen'' manga which are for young teen boys, although some ''seinen'' manga like '' xxxHolic'' share similarities with ''shōnen'' manga. Ryoichi Ikegami
is a Japanese manga artist that usually works as the illustrator in collaboration with a writer. He is best known for ''Crying Freeman'' (1986–1988), written by Kazuo Koike, and ''Heat'' (1999–2004), written by Buronson. The latter won the 2001 Shogakukan Manga Award for general manga. Yoshihide Fujiwara is a former assistant of Ikegami's. is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hideo Yamamoto. The series follows Shinya Okama, a straight college student who works at an ''okama'' bar (a cross-dressing gay bar). ''Okama Report'' was serialized in the manga magazine '' Weekly Young Sunday'' from 1989 to 1991, and was adapted into a three-part original video animation (OVA) from 1991 to 1992. Weekly Young Sunday
was a weekly manga magazine published by Shogakukan in Japan since the first issue on March 27, 1987. It replaced ''Shōnen Big Comic'' in Shogakukan's lineup of shōnen titles, and many of the titles in ''Shōnen Big Comic'' were continued in ''Young Sunday''. The magazines was sometimes called for short. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of ''Weekly Young Sunday'', Shogakukan and Yahoo! Auctions Japan held a charity auction benefitting the Green Cross Japan. is a Japanese manga artist from Iwakuni, Yamaguchi.
