Hideo Takamatsu
was a Japanese actor from Nankoku, Kōchi Prefecture. Takamatsu appeared in more than 120 films between 1948 and 2007. Profile In 1951, he signed his contract with Daiei film company. Two years later, Takamatsu made his film debut with ''Ikare Sanppie'', playing the role of lover of the main character played by Ayako Wakao. He was highly praised for his performance in such films as ''Giants and Toys'', ''The Black Report'' and ''The Graceful Brute'' and became a well-reputed supporting actor. In 1962, he left Daiei and became a freelance actor. He won TV Guide Best Performer Award for his role in the Asadora series ''Kumo no jūtan'' in 1976. In 1988, Takamatsu played the role of General Takashi Hishikari in ''The Last Emperor'' directed by Bernardo Bertolucci. Takamatsu died of myocardial infarction on February 26, in 2007. is a Japanese television jidaigeki or period drama that was broadcast from 1989 to 2016. It is based on Shōtarō Ikenami's novel of the same title. Kichiemon Nakamura plays Heizō Hasegawa. Kichiemon Nakamura`s father Matsumoto Kōshirō VIII also played same role in 1969. In 1995 the drama made into a movie.(Onihei's Detective Records directed by Yoshiki Onoda.) is a Japanese ''jidaigeki'' or period drama that was on prime-time television from 1969 to 2011, making it the longest-running ''jidaigeki'' in Japanese television history. The title character is the historic Tokugawa Mitsukuni, former vice-''shōgun'' and retired second ''daimyō'' of the Mito Domain. Onihei Hankachō
is a series of historical novels written by Japanese author Shōtarō Ikenami. Following the character Heizo Hasegawa in the Edo period of Japan, Ikegami wrote the first story for the December 1967 issue of the light novel magazine ' published by Bungeishunjū. It was well-received and began serialization in January 1968. Ikenami wrote 19 books in the main series before he died in 1990. As of 2021, the series had 30 million copies in circulation. ''Onihei Hankachō'' was also adapted into TV programs, a manga series, live-action films and theater productions. An anime television adaption aired in 2017. (Dai Chushingura) is a Japanese television dramatization of the events of the Forty-seven Ronin. The first episode aired on January 5, 1971, and the 52nd and final episode appeared on December 28 of the same year.
