Hicham Lasri
Hicham Lasri (born April 13, 1977) is a Moroccan comics artist, film director, novelist, producer and screenwriter. Biography Lasri was born on April 13, 1977, in Casablanca. He grew up in a family of five brothers and a sister. After obtaining a degree in law, he changed orientation and begins a career of playwright. He was a student of the screenwriter Emmanuelle Sardou and the filmmaker Hassan Leghzouli. Then he did an internship supervised by Sylvie Bailly, that allowed him to deepen his training on Sitcoms. Career He became the protégé of Nabil Ayouch and wrote his first screenplay in 2002 for one of his films, ''La légende d'Arhaz'', while also being the screenwriter of Lahcen Zinoun for ''La beauté éparpillée'' (2006). Lahcen Zinoun
Lahcen Zinoun (born in 1944) is a Moroccan choreographer, modern dancer and filmmaker. He is considered the most renowned contemporary Moroccan choreographer. Biography Zinoun was born in 1944 in ''La Cité ouvrière'' Socica of Hay Mohammadi, Casablanca. His father was a Berber, who worked as a railroad worker. In 1958, Zinoun entered the Conservatory of Casablanca, where he eventually was initiated to modern dance. In 1964, he received a first prize in dance by the conservatory; but nevertheless, he was refused a scholarship to study dance abroad. When Zinoun's father found out that he was a student at the conservatory, he kicked him out of the family home. Driss Chraïbi
Driss Chraïbi (July 15, 1926 – April 1, 2007) was a Moroccan author whose novels deal with colonialism, culture clashes, generational conflict and the treatment of women and are often perceived as semi-autobiographical. Born in El Jadida and educated in Casablanca, Chraïbi went to Paris in 1945 to study chemistry before turning to literature and journalism. Life Driss Chraïbi was born to a merchant family in French Morocco but was later raised in Casablanca. He attended the Koranic school before joining the M'hammed Guessous School in Rabat, followed by the Lycée Lyautey in Casablanca.
