Hi-Five (Israeli Band)
Hi-Five was an Israeli boy band that operated from 1996 to 2000. Amir Fryszer Guttman was the lead. The other members of the band included: Eyal Shahar, Michael Harpaz, Idan Yaskin and Eyal Desau. Hi-Five released three studio albums and one mini-album. All went gold in Israel with tens of thousands of copies sold. Hi-Five also won the Festigal Festigal ( he, פסטיגל) is an annual Israeli song and dance musical show for children. Festigal is held every year at Hanukkah time, during the school vacation. Hed Arzi Music ( he, הד ארצי, meaning: ''Echo of My Country'') is an Israeli record label founded in 1946. History The company was founded in Tel Aviv in 1946 as a partnership of Zvi Levin (also known as Hirsch Lewin) with Josef Grossman, Alexander Borowitz and Ephraim Ruttenberg. Mr. Levin was a refugee from Berlin where he has owned and operated a bookshop and recording label ''Semer'' (from the Hebrew "Zemer", meaning song). The Semer label operated from approximately 1932 until the recording masters and inventory were smashed and burned during Kristallnacht. Hed-Arzi started operating in September 1947, managed by Ephraim Felix Rzeczynski, making it the oldest recording company in Israel (followed by Makolit in Jaffa, Tslil in Tel-Aviv and others). Amir Fryszer Guttman
Amir Fryszer Guttman ( he, אמיר פרישר גוטמן; April 25, 1976 – July 23, 2017) was an Israeli singer, musician, choreographer, actor, theater director and LGBT rights activist. He died after being swept away with his niece, whom he had held above water; his niece survived. Biography Amir Fryszer Guttman was born as Amir Feiger in Kiryat Haim to a Romanian-born couple. He shortened his original family name to Fei when his parents divorced and added the surname of his maternal grandfather, Guttman, in honor of family members perished in the Holocaust. Fey Guttman began his career as a young journalist and model. After serving in the Israel Defense Forces, he joined the Eilat hotel's entertainment team. In 1996 he was selected by Hed Arzi Music to join a new boy band called "Hi-Five". Festigal ( he, פסטיגל) is an annual Israeli song and dance musical show for children. Festigal is held every year at Hanukkah time, during the school vacation. It began as a song contest but the format gradually changed to include performances by well-known Israeli singers and actors. Each year's event is built around a particular theme or story. History The first Festigal took place in the city of Haifa in 1981 and was the brainchild of impresario Miki Peled (later to be joined by his son, Yaron Peled).
