Hessian Cup
The Hesse Cup (German: ''Hessenpokal'') is one of the Verbandspokal, 21 regional cup competitions of German football. The winner of the competition gains entry to the first round of the German Cup. History The Cup was established in 1945, after the end of the Second World War, in the state of Hessen, which then was part of the Allied Occupation Zones in Germany, US occupation zone in Germany. The Hessen Cup is played annually. From 1974 onwards, the winner of the Hessen Cup qualified for the first round of the German Cup. Modus Professional clubs are not permitted to enter the competition, meaning, no teams from the ''Bundesliga'' and the ''2. Bundesliga'' can compete. In 2008–09, the best 15 teams of the regional cups in Hesse qualified for the first round of the Hesse Cup. Eschborn
Eschborn () is a town in the Main-Taunus district, Hesse, Germany. It is part of the Frankfurt Rhein-Main urban area and has a population of 21,488 (2018). Eschborn is home to numerous corporations due to its proximity to Frankfurt and relatively low business tax rate. Geography Location Most of "old" Eschborn is on the streets Hauptstraße, near the Eschborn S-Bahn station, and Unterortstraße, including the Rathaus (Town Hall) and some old churches. Alsfeld () is a town in the center of Hesse, in Germany. Located about north of Frankfurt, Alsfeld is in the center of Hesse and part of the densely populated Frankfurt Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region. Aschaffenburg (; South Franconian: ''Aschebersch'') is a town in northwest Bavaria, Germany. The town of Aschaffenburg is not part of the district of Aschaffenburg, but is its administrative seat. Aschaffenburg belonged to the Archbishopric of Mainz for more than 800 years. The SC Neukirchen is a German association football club from the city of Neukirchen, Hesse. History The actual foundation date of the club is shrouded in mystery but the club decided in 1945 that 1899 seemed the most likely year. The local gymnastics club, a predecessor of the ''SCN'' dates back to 1864 but the current club does not claim this as its foundation year. The club did not rise above local amateur level until 1984, when it won promotion to the ''Landesliga Hessen-Nord'', one of the three fourth-tier leagues in Hesse at the time. SG Egelsbach
The SG Egelsbach is a German association football club from the city of Egelsbach, Hesse. History The club was formed after the Second World War in 1945 when four local sports associations merged, the ''FC Egelsbach 1903, TV 1874 Egelsbach'', ''TG 1885 Egelsbach'' and the ''Arbeiter-Radfahrverein 1905''. Through the ''TV 1874'', which was formed on 15 August 1874, the current club claims its foundation date within the club's name. Like in most other towns and cities within the US occupation zone, only one sports club was permitted to exist.
