''Heroes Shed No Tears'' is a 1980 Hong Kong ''wuxia'' film directed by Chor Yuen and produced by the Shaw Brothers Studio, starring Alexander Fu and Derek Yee. It is adapted from the novel '' Ying Xiong Wu Lei'' by Gu Long. Plot Kao Chien Fei (Alexander Fu Sheng) is a young swordsman who wields a special sword with a teardrop forged into its blade. Chien Fei is charged with averting an impending crisis in the martial arts world, but the villain, Zhou Tung Lai (Derek Yee Tung-Sing), wishes to become the ruler of the world of martial arts, and launches a scheme to pit the various heroes against one another. Angie Chiu (; born 15 November 1954) is a Hong Kong actress, and was the third runner up in the 1973 Miss Hong Kong pageant. Early life In 1954, Chiu was born in Hong Kong. In 1971, Chiu graduated from Shung Tak Catholic English College and later worked as a flight attendant at Japan Airlines. Lo Wei ( 12 December 1918 – 20 January 1996) was a Hong Kong film director and film actor best known for launching the martial arts film careers of both Bruce Lee, in ''The Big Boss'' and ''Fist of Fury'', and Jackie Chan, in ''New Fist of Fury''. Career Lo began his entertainment career as an actor in the Second World War. He moved to Hong Kong in 1948. During the 1950's Lo became a popular matinee idol. Yuen Wah (born Yung Kai-chi; 2 September 1952) is a Hong Kong action film actor, action choreographer, stuntman and martial artist who has appeared in over 160 films and over 20 television series. Early life Born Yung Kai-chi on 2 September 1950 in Hong Kong, Kai attended the China Drama Academy, a Peking opera school in Hong Kong in the late 1950s and 1960s. He was instructed by Master Yu Jim Yuen and became a member of the Seven Little Fortunes along with fellow students including Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, Yuen Qiu and Corey Yuen. Yueh Hua (; 14 July 1942 – 20 October 2018) was a Shanghai-born Hong Kong actor, later based in Canada, with Shaw Brothers Studio and TVB. Yueh is one of the most versatile and prolific leading actors of Shaw Brothers.
