Katherine Chrystal Herne (June 16, 1883 – September 19, 1950) was an American stage actress. She was the daughter of actor/playwright James A. Herne and the younger sister of actress and Hollywood talent scout Julie Herne. Her stage credits include creating the title role in the original Broadway production of George Kelly's Pulitzer Prize–winning play, ''Craig's Wife'' (1925). Biography Katherine Chrystal Herne, the middle daughter of James A. Herne and Katherine Corcoran, was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, on June 16, 1883. She made her stage debut in Washington D.C., at the age of 16 as Sue Hardy in her father's play, ''The Reverend Griffith Davenport''. Over the following two seasons she played Jane Cauldwell in ''Sag Harbor'', her father's last play. Frank Herne (born 31 October 1989) is a South African rugby union player who last played for the in the Currie Cup and in the Rugby Challenge. He usually plays the position of Hooker. Herne is a product of Grey College and featured for the South African Schools Academy side in 2007. He played in the 2009 FNB Varsity Cup for Shimlas and was part of the squad for the 2010 Vodacom Cup. Herne played for the between 2011 and 2012, but joined the in 2013. Thomas Herne
Thomas Herne (died 1722) was an English academic and lay participant in religious controversy. Life A native of Suffolk, he was admitted as a pensioner at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, on 29 October 1711. In the following year he was elected to a scholarship, graduated B.A. in 1715, and was incorporated at Oxford 21 February 1716. Not long afterwards the Duchess of Bedford made him tutor to her sons Wriothesley and John, later successively the third and fourth Dukes of Bedford. In 1716 Herne was elected to a vacant fellowship at Merton College, Oxford, and on 11 October 1718 proceeded M.A. He died a layman and unmarried, at Woburn Abbey, Bedfordshire, in 1722.
