Hernaín Arzú Güity (born 13 October 1967) is a retired Honduran football player who made his name with the national team in the 1990s. Club career Arzú started his career at F.C. Motagua and played 212 matches for the club over a period of 10 years. He also played for Marathón. International career Arzú made his debut for Honduras in a June 1992 friendly match against Panama and has earned a total of 36 caps, scoring no goals. The Copa Centroamericana (, Spanish for "Central American Cup") was the main association football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the ''Unión Centroamericana de Fútbol'' (UNCAF), the sport's Central American governing body. Held every two years since 1991, in the years before and after the FIFA World Cup tournaments, it was originally called the UNCAF Nations Cup (), changing to the latter name in 2011. The tournament consisted of two stages. In the group round of the tournament finals, the seven teams competed in two round-robin groups, one of four teams and the other of three, for points, with the top two teams in each group proceeding. In 1997–98 the Honduran Liga Nacional brought a new competition system; the league would be now divided into two tournaments (Apertura and Clausura), having C.D. Motagua won their 6th and 7th title in this new format. The tournament lasted from August 1997 to October 1998 and it consisted of 11 teams for the first time since the 1981–82 season.
