The Hermitage of São Vicente ( pt, Ermida de São Vicente) is an early settlement hermitage (religious retreat), hermitage in the locality of São Vicente, Freguesia (Portugal), civil parish of Santo António (São Roque do Pico), Santo António, in the Portugal, Portuguese concelho, municipality of São Roque do Pico (Azores), São Roque do Pico, on the Portugal, Portuguese Pico Island, island of Pico, in the archipelago of the Azores. History The first reference to this religious temple was attributed to Father João José de Melo, then vicar and confessor for the municipality of São Roque, between 1768 and 1783. As he indicated, it was erected in his birthplace, and dedicated to the locality's principal patron saint (Vincent of Saragossa), in 1746. São Roque do Pico () is a municipality in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores, occupying most of the northern side of the island of Pico. As of 2021, it has 3,221 inhabitants spread through five freguesias (civil parishes) in an area of 142.36 km².
