Here Comes That Sound Again is a 1979 disco single by Love De-Luxe, a dance studio group formed by British producer, Alan Hawkshaw. Vicki Brown (singer), Vicki Brown and Jo-Ann Stone were the lead vocalists on the single. The single hit number one on the dance charts in the middle of 1979, for one week. The single did not cross over to any other chart and Love De-Luxe had no other charted singles in the United States. However, elements from the song were used for the intro to the Sugarhill Gang's hit single "Rapper's Delight". The song’s chorus would later be sampled in another Billboard Dance Club Songs number one single, "That Sound (Pump Friction song), That Sound" by Pump Friction, in 1997. Love De-Luxe was a disco studio group assembled by United Kingdom, British Record producer, producer Alan Hawkshaw (the father of Kirsty Hawkshaw). They had one chart entry: "Here Comes That Sound Again", which spent a week at #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1979. Vicki Brown (singer), Vicki Brown and Jo-Ann Stone provided the human voice, vocals, and the track was technically credited to Love De-Luxe with Hawkshaw's Discophonia. The act’s 1979 album ''Again and Again'' was even notable for the cover itself: the original feature two women embracing each other (implying that they’re Lesbians, once the album sleeve opened). But in the United States a different cover featuring illustration of cigarette packages was used. ''RPM'' ( and later ) was a Canadian music-industry publication that featured song and album charts for Canada. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000. ''RPM'' stood for "Records, Promotion, Music". The magazine's title varied over the years, including ''RPM Weekly'' and ''RPM Magazine''. Canadian music charts ''RPM'' maintained several format charts, including Top Singles (all genres), Adult Contemporary, Dance, Urban, Rock/Alternative and Country Tracks (or Top Country Tracks) for country music. The Canadian dance chart was first known to be published on November 13, 1976 by ''RPM'' magazine under the name ''Top 30 Disco Playlist''. The song which held the number-one spot on this first chart was "Keep It Comin' Love / I'm Your Boogie Man" by KC and the Sunshine Band. No chart was published from January 1980 until September 3, 1988. Pump Friction is the studio project of DJ/ producer Lewis Dene from London. He scored a number 1 hit on the US ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1997 with " That Sound".
