Herbert Hunger
Herbert Hunger (9 December 1914 – 9 July 2000) was an Austrian Byzantinist. Hunger was born and died in Vienna. From 1973 to 1982 he served two consecutive terms as president of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. A knight is a person granted an honorary title of knighthood by a head of state (including the Pope) or representative for service to the monarch, the church or the country, especially in a military capacity.
