Heraklion Football Clubs Association
The Heraklion Football Clubs Association ( el, Ένωση Ποδοσφαιρικών Σωματείων Ηρακλείου or Ε.Π.Σ.Η.) is an association responsible for administering football in the region of Heraklion. It is based in the city of Heraklion and is a member of the Hellenic Football Federation. The association is responsible for organizing regional Championship and Cup competitions for both adult and youth teams playing in its divisions. The association is currently one of the largest Football Clubs Associations in Greece, consisting of over 85 clubs. Its colors are blue and white and its crest features a Griffin, the official seal of the Municipality of Heraklion. Gouves, Greece
Goúves ( el, Γούβες) is a village and former municipality in the Heraklion regional unit, Crete, Greece. Since the 2011, local government reform it is a part of the municipality Hersonissos, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of . It lies around east of Heraklion. Goúves is better known for its busy summer resort, Káto Goúves. Ergotelis Youth Academy
Ergotelis Football Academy is the football academy system of Greek professional football club Ergotelis. It is the largest youth sports academy on the island of Crete, hosting over 40 age-based boys' and girls' football departments, and one of the largest in Greece, registering over 900 children and adolescents aged 6−21 years old. The academy currently maintains various competitive departments, including the club's official youth team (Under-19), as well as an additional other 3 age-based sister clubs, all subsidiaries to the Gymnastics Club Ergotelis (''Neoi Ergoteli'', ''Kanaria Ergoteli'', ''Martinengo''). Zaros
Zaros ( el, Ζαρός) is a village and a former municipality in the Heraklion regional unit, Crete, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Faistos, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of . Population 2,953 (2011). Zaros village, at an altitude of 340 metres, is a village with a lake and gorge nearby. The village has a couple of hotels and it is 44 km from Heraklion at the southern foothills of Mount Psiloritis. The population produce olive oil, sultanas, vegetables and spring water. Nikos Kazantzakis Stadium

Moires
Moires ( el, Μοίρες, "Fates") is a town and a former municipality in the Heraklion regional unit, Crete, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Faistos, of which it is a municipal unit. Agioi Deka
Agioi Deka ( el, Άγιοι Δέκα, "Holy Ten") is a village in the Heraklion regional unit, Greece, with 861 inhabitants (2011 census). It is located in the 44th km of the Heraklion-Tympaki national road and it is the centre of the municipality of Gortyna (Δήμος Γόρτυνας). The village is built on the feet of a green hill with view to the plain of Messara, at altitude of 170 meters, over the remains of ancient Gortys. It is supposed that the cemetery of Gortys was located in this area, and many of the old houses are built using recycled material from the ruins of Gortys.
