Rudolf Biebrach
Rudolf Biebrach (24 November 1866 – 5 September 1938) was a German actor and film director. He directed over 70 films between 1909 and 1930; and he appeared as an actor in nearly 110 films between 1909 and 1938. In his youth, Biebrach had worked for some years as an Engraving, engraver. He got his first engagement as an actor in Gießen during 1890/1891. After a long career as a stage actor, Biebrach managed to become a successful director and character actor in the German film during the 1910s. He directed many films with Henny Porten and Lotte Neumann. Hermann Thimig
Hermann Thimig (3 October 1890 – 7 July 1982) was an Austrian stage and film actor. He appeared in 102 films between 1916 and 1967. Biography Thimig came from a famous family of actors. His father, Hugo Thimig, was an actor, director and director of the Vienna Burgtheater. His siblings Helene Thimig and Hans Thimig, with whom he trained at the theater and worked together several times in films, were accomplished actors. During his early days in elementary school and high school in Vienna, and in various land reform schools, Thimig performed with amateur theater groups and private performances. After military service as a one-year volunteer in Vienna he made his debut in December 1910 at the Meiningen Court Theatre and remained there until his contract was disrupted in 1914 by the outbreak of the First World War. Tempelhof Studios
The Tempelhof Studios are a film studio located in Tempelhof in the German capital of Berlin. They were founded in 1912, during the silent era, by German film pioneer Alfred Duskes, who built a glass-roofed studio on the site with financial backing from the French company Pathé. The producer Paul Davidson's PAGU then took control and constructed a grander structure. The First World War propaganda drama '' The Yellow Passport'', the historical comedy ''Madame DuBarry'' and the expressionist 1920 silent film '' The Golem'' were made there by PAGU. During the 1920s the site came into the hands of the dominant German company UFA which also controlled the Babelsberg and Staaken Studios in the city.
