She (pronoun)
In Modern English, ''she'' is a singular, feminine, third-person pronoun. Morphology In Standard Modern English, ''she'' has four shapes representing five distinct word forms: * ''she'': the nominative (subjective) form * ''her'': the accusative (objective, also called the 'oblique'.) form; the dependent genitive (possessive) form * ''hers:'' the independent genitive form * ''herself'': the reflexive form History Old English had a single third-person pronoun – from the Proto-Germanic demonstrative base *''khi''-, from PIE *''ko''- "this" – which had a plural and three genders in the singular. In early Middle English, one case was lost, and distinct pronouns started to develop. The modern pronoun '' it'' developed out of the neuter, singular in the 12th century. ''Her'' developed out of the feminine singular dative and genitive forms. The older pronoun had the following forms: The evolution of ''she'' is disputed. Some sources claim it evolved "from Old English ''seo ...

Housing And Economic Recovery Act Of 2008
The United States Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 () (commonly referred to as HERA) was designed primarily to address the subprime mortgage crisis. It authorized the Federal Housing Administration to guarantee up to $300 billion in new 30-year fixed rate mortgages for subprime borrowers if lenders wrote down principal loan balances to 90 percent of current appraisal value. It was intended to restore confidence in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac by strengthening regulations and injecting capital into the two large U.S. suppliers of mortgage funding. States are authorized to refinance subprime loans using mortgage revenue bonds. Enactment of the Act led to the government conservatorship of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Legislative history The Act was passed by the United States Congress on July 24, 2008 and signed by President George W. Bush on July 30, 2008. Subsequent amendments Some provisions of the law were modified by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act o ...

Hydroxyethylrutoside
Hydroxyethylrutosides (oxerutins, ''O''-beta-hydroxyethyl-rutosides, HR, or HER) are hydroxyethyl derivatives of rutosides. Examples include: * Monoxerutin * Dihydroxyethylrutoside * Troxerutin * Tetrahydroxyethylrutoside Oxerutins are semisynthetic derivatives of plant constituents. Although they are closely related to the natural flavonoid rutin, hydroxyethylrutosides are not found in food. The only way to take them is in a supplement. Health benefits Relvène (1967 French version), Venoruton (1962 Swiss version), and Paroven are mixtures of hydroxyethyl rutinosides. Hydroxyethylrutosides are used in the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency and hypertensive microangiopathy. Oxerutins work by reducing leakage from the small blood vessels (capillaries). Hydroxyethylrutosides have been used as an alternative to horse chestnut preparations ( venostasin) containing aescin. Typical doses are in the order of 1,000 mg/day. Effects of hydroxyethylrutosides against adria ...

HER2/neu
Receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ''ERBB2'' gene. ERBB is abbreviated from erythroblastic oncogene B, a gene originally isolated from the avian genome. The human protein is also frequently referred to as ''HER2'' (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2) or CD340 (cluster of differentiation 340). HER2 is a member of the human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER/EGFR/ERBB) family. But contrary to other member of the ERBB family, HER2 does not directly bind ligand. HER2 activation results from heterodimerization with another ERBB member or by homodimerization when HER2 concentration are high, for instance in cancer. Amplification or over-expression of this oncogene has been shown to play an important role in the development and progression of certain aggressive types of breast cancer. In recent years the protein has become an important biomarker and target of therapy for approximately 30% of breast cancer patients. Name ''H ...

Hydrogen Evolution Reaction
Hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is a chemical reaction that yields H2. The conversion of protons to H2 requires reducing equivalents and usually a catalyst. In nature, HER is catalyzed by hydrogenase enzymes. Commercial electrolyzers typically employ platinum metal as the catalyst. HER is useful for producing hydrogen gas, providing a clean-burning fuel. HER, however, can also be an unwelcome side reaction that competes with other reductions such as nitrogen fixation and electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide The electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide, also known as electrolysis of carbon dioxide, is the conversion of carbon dioxide () to more reduction (chemistry), reduced chemical species using electrical energy. It is one possible step in the b .... References {{electrolysis Electrolysis Energy engineering ...
